ObjectiveThe aim of this study was to evaluate and analysis of intraoperative magneticimaging(iMRI) and navigation system for surgery of glioma.MethodIn our retrospective analysis, we enrolled671cases of glioma patients who havehad operation in the PLA General Hospital in2007March~2011March. There were250cases in iMRI group,245cases in navigation group, and176cases in conventionalgroup. Compared with extent of resection, postoperative neurological deficits, postoperative treatment and overall survival time in different groups.FindingsiMRI group tumor gross total resection(GTR) rate was72%, the navigation groupwas62%, and conventional group was53%. Early postoperative neurological deficitsare respectively38.31%,42.95%, and46.59%.ConclusionsiMRI and navigation group have a higher GTR rate, however the two ofpostoperative morbidity rate were lower than that of conventional group. Radiotherapyand chemotherapy can also significantly prolong the survival time.
