ObjectiveIntelligent anti-snoring pillow used to primary snoring OR mild to moderate obstructive sleep apnea-hypopnea syndrome(OSAHS)patients,the effects on snoring,sleepiness,apnea hypopnea index(AHI)and blood oxygen saturation were analyzed from subjective and objective perspectives.To observe the compliance,comfort and adverse reaction of intelligent snore pillow.Methods There were 29 patients diagnosed with primary snoring OR mild to moderate OSAHS by polysomnography(PSG)detection for comparison before and after the test.According to the supine position and the non-supine position AHI,the OSAHS patients were further divided into two groups,position relative OSAHS(POSA)group of 15 cases and the non-position relative OSAHS(NPOSA)group of 6 cases.General information were recorded,and Epworth sleepiness scale(ESS),snoring questionnaire(SOS,BPS)scores were given before the trial.After that,the intelligent anti-snoring pillow was treatment for 7 days,and the PSG examination was performed again on the 7th night under the treatment.ESS,SOS,BPS scores were evaluated again after 7days of treatment,and ESS,SOS,BPS scores,snoring,AHI,sleep postural,and blood oxygen saturation were compared before and after treatment.Finally,compliance,comfort and adverse reactions of the intelligent anti-snoring pillow were investigated by follow-up questionnaire.SPSS 22.0 was used for statistics,P<0.05 for the difference was statistically significant.Results1.In this study,the patients BMI were 26.5±24.08kg/m~2,neck circumference were38.46±3.45cm,waist circumference were 94.43±9.22cm.Mallampatty is rated primarily as grade II.In POSA group BMI was lower than NPOSA group(P=0.005).2.The results showed that ESS score was lower than before(P=0.003),SOS and BPS score was higher than before(P<0.001),subjective sleepiness and snoring were better than before.3.The snoring above sujects were lower than before(P<0.05).There were no statistically significant differences in AHI and oxygen saturation indexes compared in before and after treatment.4.Subgroup analysis in POSA and NPOSA,there no significant difference in subjective sleepiness and snoring.In objective,we found that the intelligent anti-snoring pillow could improved the snoring of the POSA group more significantly,and decreased the AHI of the POSA group.5.Short-term compliance was96.4%,comfortable to use,85.7%no special discomfort,and 46.4%had improvement in sleep quality.Adverse reactions to the use of intelligent anti-snoring pillow mainly includes sleep disturbance caused by the air inflation with pillow,morning tinnitus and headache.42.7%of them were willing to receive long-term treatment.Conclusion1.Snoring were improved by anti-snoring pillow in patients with simple snoring and mild to moderate OSAHS.2.Compared with NPOSA,better anti-snoring effects and dereased AHI were observed in POSA group.3.The use of intelligent anti-snoring pillow has good short-term compliance and high comfort level,but the willingness of long-term treatment decreases.
