Curative Effect Of Adjustable Height Cervical Occipital Adjuvant Therapy For Cervical Spondylotic Radiculopathy

Objective:To observe the clinical effect of self-made adjustable height cervical spondylosis occipital adjuvant therapy for cervical spondylotic radiculopathy,and to provide basis for clinical treatment.Method:From January 2018 to January 2019,60 patients with cervical spondylotic radiculopathy were treated with self-made adjustable height cervical spondylosis pillow.Among the patients included in the statistics,29 were male and 31 were female.The age distribution ranged from 20 to 60 years,with an average age of 40.74±10.19 years.The observation method used in this experiment is a self-controlled study.In all the patients,during the course of treatment,we observed whether there were cervical skin ecchymosis,redness and allergy,whether there were cervical pain and discomfort,whether there were soft tissue injury,or even aggravated symptoms.Visual Analogue Scale/Score(VAS),Cervical Dysfunction Index(NDI)and Bordens were used to measure the curvature arc distance of cervical spine before and after treatment.The overall efficacy evaluation was based on the criteria for the diagnosis and treatment of Chinese Medicine Diseases issued by the State Administration of Traditional Chinese Medicine in 1994.Result:1.The cervical curvature measured by Bordens method before treatment was(2.29±0.59)mm,after 12 weeks of treatment was(6.40±1.59)mm,and the cervical curvature improved significantly by the new cervical pillow(z=-6.738,P < 0.05);the VAS score before treatment was(2.83±0.38),after 12 weeks of treatment was(1.12 ±0.76),and the new cervical pillow had a significant effect on cervical pain(z=-6.685,P < 0.05).The index of cervical vertebral dysfunction before treatment was(12.60 ±2.04)and after 12 weeks of treatment was(2.69±2.95).The new cervical pillow had significant effect on cervical vertebral functional recovery(z=-6.749,P < 0.05).2.Evaluation of curative effect after 4 weeks of treatment: 3 cases(5%)were cured,41 cases(68.33%)were improved,16 cases(26.67%)were ineffective,and the effective rate was 71.33%.After 8 weeks of treatment,5 cases(8.33%)were cured,43 cases(71.67%)were improved,12 cases(20%)were ineffective,and the effective rate was 80%.After 12 weeks of treatment,6 cases(10%)were cured,45 cases(75%)were improved,9 cases(15%)were ineffective,and the total effective rate was 85%.3.Adverse reactions: 60 cases included in the statistics showed no special discomfort,allergy,ecchymosis and other adverse reactions except temporary neck soreness and distension during the initial use of cervical pillow.After using cervical pillow for a period of time,the appellate symptoms improved without further special treatment.Among them,4 cases(6.67%)had adverse reactions,which proved that the cervical pillow had high safety.Conclusion:The adjustable height cervical pillow has certain effect on relieving cervical pain,improving cervical function and restoring cervical physiological curvature,which is worthy of clinical promotion.
