Effect Of Primary Ligament Repair On Ankle Fracture With Triangular Ligament Injury

Objective: To observe and compare the clinical curative effect of different surgical methods on ankle fracture with triangular ligament injury,so as to provide reference for the treatment of such injury in clinic.Methods: Retrospective analysis the information of surgical treatment of 70 patients with ankle joint fracture combined triangle ligament damage from January in 2013 to August in2018 in Zun Yi Medical College affiliated hospital.There are 30 cases in the repair group which repairing deltoid ligament(including with wire nail repair and direct suture anchor)after using plate and screw to fix ankle fracture.It includes 16 cases of male and 14 cases of female,their age is 40.23±13.36.40 cases of patients in the unrepaired group are treated with plate and screw fixation of ankle fracture without treatment of the triangular ligament,including 20 cases of male and 20 cases of female,their age is 38.42±13.68.Follow-up is conducted by means of outpatient questionnaire,telephone and text messages,etc and relevant data including 1.5 months after surgery MCS at the last follow-up(>5 months),AOFAS and VAS scores at the last follow-up.Postoperative complications are collected SPSS 22.0 statistical software is used for statistical analysis of the data.The measurement data conforming to the normal distribution is expressed as mean standard deviation.Counting data is compared by chi-square test.P < 0.05 is considered statistically significant.Results: All the 70 patients are followed up for an average of 15.8(6-27)months.Compared with the unrepaired group,the repair group has a lower incidence of postoperative complications,smaller medial ankle space in the early and middle stages,higher AOFAS score and lower VAS score at the last follow-up.The difference is statistically significant(P < 0.05).Conclusion: Patients with ankle fracture combined with triangular ligament injury can obtain a higher rate of postoperative maintenance and reduction and a more painless,stable and functional ankle joint,when repairing or reconstructing of the triangular ligament after fixing the fracture.
