Study On The Relationship Of Double-lid Blepharoplasty Surgery And Ocular Surface

AIM: To study two kinds of double-lid blepharoplasty surgery effect on ocular surface.Methods: The clinical data of 30 patients with double eyelid plasty divided into two groups.Patients in group A were treated with suture procedure and patients in group B were treated with dermotomy.Observed preoperative,postoperative 1 week,1 month after surgery of Schirmer? test(SIT),tear film breakup time(BUT),corneal staining,tear meniscus height and ocular surface disease index(OSDI).Results: Compared with before surgery,postoperative 1 week and 1 month after surgery of group B were significantly shorten the tear film breakup time(P<0.05);postoperative 1 week,1 month after surgery of group A with no significant difference compared with preoperative(P>0.05);the difference between group A and group B was postoperative 1 week and 1 month after surgery of group B were significantly shorten the tear film breakup time(P<0.05).Conclusion: The open blepharoplasty was shorten the tear film breakup time after surgery,and compared with suture blepharoplasty were significantly shorten the tear film breakup time after surgery.This indicates that the stability of tear film will be decreased after open blepharoplasty in short time.
