Epilepsy is a neural disorder with the hallmark of recurrent seizures. In order to explore a more convenient and effective analysis method to assist in the clinical diagnosis and monitoring of epilepsy, this paper analyzes the physiological electrical signals of patients with epilepsy. The EEG signal is dominant, and the ECG signal is assist. The similarities and differences between epilepsy patients and normal people are the focus of this study. To characterize the epileptic brain electrical activi-ties,we employ the cross modulation of instantaneous amplitudes and frequencies to separate synchronous and anti-synchronous modulation.Amplitude-amplitude,amplitude-frequency and frequency-frequency cross modulation are adopted to analyse the difference between EEG signal of epileptic patients and that of normal people. The correlation between the instantaneous amplitude and the instantaneous frequency and the differences of the cross modulation coefficient between the two groups are analysed.Applying the cross-modulation analysis of EEG signals of different leads,we summarize the changes of EEG signal amplitude in the T6 lead(the right posterior temporal area)and the O2 lead(the right cerebral occipital area)of epilepsy patients have an unhealthy effect on the instantaneous amplitude or frequency of eeg signals of other leads.Based on the cross-modulation analysis of EEG signals decomposed into different frequency bands,it is concluded that EEG signals in the high frequency band have a stronger correlation with EEG signals in other lead frequency bands. When the EEG signal of epileptic patients during 7-11.49 Hz changes, the influence on other EEG signal components is significantly different from that of normal people.Based on the cross modulation analysis of EEG signal and ECG signal,We've demonstrated that the change of instantaneous frequency of EEG signal at O2 lead and T6 lead in epileptic patients would affect instantaneous frequency of ECG signal. These are of guiding significance to the diagnosis and treatment, monitoring and rehabilitation process of brain function in epilepsy patients.
