?Objective?This study aims to intervene in stroke patients with dysphagia with improved oral feeding,to improve their swallowing function and quality of life,and further to provide some references for tube-fed nutrition and rehabilitation programs of stroke patients with dysphagia.?Methods?A Total of 48 stroke patients with dysphagia were recruited from May 2018 to December 2018 inpatient department of two general hospital in Hainan by convenience sampling method.Divided 48 patients equally into intervention group and control group,according to their serial numbers arranged by admission time and random number table generated by DRNG.Researcher has collected all patients,general and clinical information before intervention and assessed their swallowing function,evaluated effect of intervention with evaluation tools of Water Swallow Test,Chinese version of WHOQOL-BREF and Questionnaire of Comfort the before intervention and 2 weeks after intervention,and then identified advantages and disadvantages of improved oral feeding through analyzing results.?Results?This study has collected data of 48 patients including 23 of Intervention Group and 24 Control Group,and 1 patient quitting from Intervention Group.1.Baseline condictiong of the two groups: There were no statistical differences regarding demographic data,disease-related data type of stroke,rating evaluation ofdysphagia and assessment of quality of life between the two groups before intervention(P>0.05).2.Recovery of Dysphagia of the two group after InterventionAfter 2-week intervention,rating evaluation of dysphagia and overall recovery rate(87.96%)of intervention group are significantly higher than control group,and the difference between two groups has statistics significance(P <0.05).3.Assessment of Quality of Life of the two groupAfter 2-week intervention,survival qualities of two groups both have improved while overall quality of life(52.69±9.14)as well as grades of mental quality of life(13.48±2.39),physical quality of life(13.61±2.45)and environmental quality of life(12.91±2.41)are dramatically higher than control group,and the difference between two groups has statistics significance(P <0.05).4.Assessment of Comfort of the two groupAfter 2-week intervention,comfort degree of intervention group(2.48±0.67)is lower than control group,and the difference between two groups has statistics significance(P <0.05).?Conclusions?With intervention of improved oral feeding,stroke patients with dysphagia have been improved their swallowing function,relieved their pains,comforted them and promoted their quality of life.Therefore,improved oral feeding is worth of prompting to be applied into clinical practices.
