Objective: To investigate the relationship of serum OC levels with metabolism of blood glucose and blood lipid, severity of trauma and prognosis of trauma in multiple trauma patients. Methods: A prospective cohort study were executed, multiple trauma patients were collected from emergency room and then in-hospital in the Shanghai NO sixth People's Hospital from Jan to Dec of 2015 year.We recorded patients' age, sex, height, weight, blood testing index(BG,INS,C-P,TC,TG,HDL,LDL,OC,HOMA-IR,HOMA-?),ISS score, medical history and other information in admission. The healths, matched with trauma patients in indicators of age,,sex, body mass index, were as control group.Serum OC levels and its correlation with metabolism of blood glucose, blood lipid were compared in two groups.Relationship between serum OC levels with mechanical ventilation time, the nosocomial infection and mortality were analysised in multiple trauma patients. Results: The 172 trauma patients and 128 healths were selected in this study.Compared with the healthy control group, serum OC levels,HOMA-?,TC,HDL,LDL were lower, but BG,INS,C-P,HOMA-IR were higher in multiple trauma patients(p <0.05).Reduction of serum OC levels, which was positive with the INS,HOMA-IR,HOMA-? in trauma patients, was negative with BG,TC and has no correlation with the ISS score.Decreasing of serum OC levels after trauma was an important predictor index of Mechanical Ventilation by multivariate logistic regression analysis, but has no significant correlation with the incidence of nosocomial infections and mortality? Conclusions: Reduction of serum OC levels, which an important indicator of mechanical ventilation, was a significant correlation with the changs of BG,TC,INS,HOMA-IR,HOMA-? after multiple trauma. This relationship may be one of the factors that influence glucose and lipid metabolism.
