ObjectIves:Combined use of DTI and resting-state BOLD,to investigate the application of DTI and resting-state BOLD in acute stage mild traumatic brain injury, and explore the change of white matter fiber tracts and brain function in mTBI patients. Methods:Twelve acute stage mTBI patients were prospectively recruited from the emergency department according to the following standards:(1)suffered concussion after trauma(2)Glasgow Score:13-15(3)loss of Consciousness: 0-30 minutes(4)posttraumatic Amnesia:0-24 hours(5)alteration of Consciousness:0-24 hours(6)routine head CT and MRI examination negative.Twelve age and gender matched controls were also recruited for comparison.DTI,resting-state BOLD and T1-weighted high resolution imaging were performed for all subjects.Use Tract Based Spatial Statistics(TBSS)and Independent Component Analysis(ICA)analysis DTI and BOLD data. Results: According to the results of DTI analysis,mTBI group showed increased FA value in bilateral retrolenticular(part of internal capsule)and bilateral external capsule, meanwhile,mTBI group showed increased functional connectivity in bilateral superior parietal lobes, right temporal lobe and posterior cingulate. Conclusion: Brain matter fiber tracts injure in mTBI patients can be detected by DTI.In order to make up the brain functional defect caused by the white matter tracts injure, the corresponding brain areas in DMN showed increased functional connectivity.DTI and BOLD are more suitable for mTBI patients than conventional imaging, can provide basis for cognitive dysfunction and recovery in mTBI patients.
