Objective:To study the cognitive reserve(Cognitive reserve,CR)parameters of the elderly with normal cognitive function: education, occupation and cognitive leisure activities, and to obtain the correlation between the parameters and the scores of each field of cognitive function by statistical method. The differences between the groups of high reserve and low reserve and cognitive performance were compared to explore the protective effect of cognitive reserve on cognitive aging and cognitive decline in the elderly,so as to provide more evidence for the early prevention of Alzheimerundefineds disease(Alzheimer disease,AD).Methods: From January 2017 to January 2018,120 elderly patients with normal nuclear magnetic field and normal cognition were collected.Demographic data, previous medical history, laboratory tests, imaging studies and so on were collected to improve the CR parameters(educational level, occupation, leisure activity). The data were collected by the Daily scale of occupation,Recreation and Recreation, and assessed by the Cognitive scale(Assessment form of brain Cognitive ability in the elderly). The three factors of CR parameters: education level, occupational score, leisure activity score and cognitive field score were statistically analyzed. After eliminating confounding factors such as age, gender, previous medical history and other confounding factors,Partial correlation and linear regression were used to analyze the correlation between the three CR indexes and cognitive domain score. The total score of CR was obtained by factor analysis(principal component analysis)of three CR parameters. The samples were divided into two groups: high reserve group and low reserve group. The differences of cognitive function scores between the two groups were compared.Results:(1)Education level was correlated with the overall cognitive performance; And in immediate memory,short-term memory, delayed memory,Rey complex figure text,Trails test,Digit Span Test,Verbal Fluency Test,Symbol Digit Modalities Test,MMSE,Moca,Clock Drawing Test,Stroop test,There was correlation in similarity test(P<0.05).(2)There was a correlation between occupation and MMSE,Moca,Verbal Fluency Test,Symbol Digit Modalities Test, similarity test and delayed memory(P<0.05).(3)Cognitive leisure activities were correlated with Moca,StroopB,StroopC,Trails2 time,Symbol Digit Modalities Test,Verbal Fluency Test,Clock Drawing Test, immediate memory,short-term memory and delayed memory(P<0.05).(4)There were differences in Moca,Trail2 test,Symbol Digit Modalities Test,Digit Span Test,Verbal Fluency Test,Rey complex figure text, immediate memory,short-term memory, delayed memory, and similarity test between the two groups(P<0.05).Conclusion: Education level is related to the overall cognitive performance, which is related to screening scale, executive function, visual space and memory. The role of occupation in cognitive performance is not significant,it has some correlation with screening scale and executive function field, cognitive leisure activity has correlation with screening scale, memory and executive function, and there is a correlation between cognitive leisure activity and screening scale, memory and executive function. The overall high cognitive reserve was correlated with the cognitive performance. It is suggested that the years of education play the most important role in the cognitive performance of the elderly.Professional and leisure activities,as an independent factor of cognitive reserve, participate in the impact on cognitive performance. All of these have the cognitive protective effect.
