Objective By comparing and analyzing the difference of sensitivity, specificity, positive predictive value and negative predictive value between low-dose CT virtual colonoscopy and electronic colonoscopy in screening colorectal neoplasms, the clinical value of low-dose CT virtual colonoscopy in screening colorectal neoplasms was evaluated. Methods Eighty-four patients with suspected colorectal neoplasms and high-risk colorectal neoplasms were selected from Baotou Central Hospital from June 2017 to December 2018,including 39 males and 45 females, aged 27-77 years with an average age of 51.7(+10.1 years). All patients underwent bowel surgery according to the method recommended in the Guidelines for Pre-Colonoscopy Intestinal Preparation.Prepare, after the patients are scanned by low-dose CT virtual colonoscopy, the data are transmitted to the workstation for processing and image acquisition. The results of low-dose CT virtual colonoscopy are compared with those of electronic colonoscopy and pathology. Results The results of low-dose CT virtual colonoscopy showed 8 cases of rectal cancer,28 cases of colorectal polyps and 48 cases of normal. The results of electronic colonoscopy showed 43 cases of negative patients and 41 cases of positive patients, including 10 cases of colorectal cancer,31 cases of colonic polyps and adenomas. The sensitivity, specificity, positive predictive value and negative predictive value were80.0%,98.65%,88.8% respectively.9%,97.33%,accuracy 96.43%,sensitivity90.32%,specificity 80.39%,positive predictive value 93.33%,negative predictive value 94.44%,accuracy 94.04%.Conclusion Compared with electronic colonoscopy, the third generation dual-source CT low-dose virtual colonoscopy has higher sensitivity, specificity and accuracy in the diagnosis of colorectal polyps and colorectal cancer, especially in the case of intestinal stenosis caused by colorectal malignant tumors, which is more advantageous than electronic colonoscopy,so it can be used for clinical screening of colorectal cancer.
