Clinical Efficacy Of Pregabalin In The Treatment Of Pruritus After Herpes Zoster

Objective:By observing the changes of skin itching degree,quality of life,sleeping time and adverse reactions of patients with pruritus after herpes zoster before and after treatment with pregabalin,the clinical efficacy and safety were investigated,which provided a theoretical basis for clinical medication.Methods:A total of 58 patients with pruritus after herpes zoster in our hospital were recruited from Oct2017 to Jun 2018.All the patients were divided into test and control group randomly,30 cases were in test group while 28 cases were in control group.The test group were given 75 mg pregabalin bid,and the control group was given 10 mg Loratadine qn.Patients in both groups were treated for 1 month.VAS score was used to determine the efficacy in all patients before and after treatment,the VAG scored,modified DUO's pruritus score and Dermatology Quality of Life Index Questionnaire score were scored after every week time during treatment.Meanwhile,the sleeping time and all the other adverse reactions were recorded to evaluate the clinical efficacy.Results:After four weeks of treatment,The VAG scored,modified DUO's pruritus score and Dermatology Quality of Life Index Questionnaire score in the test group and the control group decreased after treatment,and the sleep time increased compared with before treatment(P<0.05).But the VAG scored,modified DUO's pruritus score and Dermatology Quality of Life Index Questionnaire score in the test group were significantly lower than those in the control group,and the sleep time was significantly higher than that in the control group(P<0.05).In the test group,9 cases were markedly effective,16 cases were effective and5 cases were ineffective,in the control group,3 cases were markedly effective,10 cases were effective and15 cases were ineffective.The total effective rate of test group and control group were 83.30%and 46.43%respectively.The test group was significantly higher than the control group,and the difference between the two groups was significantly.(?~2=9.327,P<0.05).There were 4 cases of dizziness and 1 case of sleepiness in the test group,in the control group,dizziness occurred in 1 case and sleepiness in 3 cases.The incidence of adverse reaction of test and control group were 16.67%and 14.28%respectively,There was no significant difference between the two groups.(?~2=1,P>0.05).Conclusion:Pregabalin is evidently effective in the treatment of pruritus after herpes zoster,and has a higher safety and lower adverse reaction.
