Objective: The aim of this meta analysis is to investigate the effect size of heart rate variability indexes in evaluation of the autonomic dysfunction in Alzheimer's disease. Methods:Computer the databases of PubMed,EMbase,The Cochrance Library,CMB,CNKI,WanFang,WeiPu and valuate the relationship between heart rate variability indexes and the autonomic nervous function in Alzheimer's disease. The databases date to February 28,2019.Results: A total of seven studies are included, including three hundred and sixty-six people,of which the patients of Alzheimer's disease make up one hundred and fifty-six and two hundred are healthy control groups. The meta analysis results show that the indexes of heart rate variability included SDNN?RMSSD?TP and HF in AD patients are lower than those in the healthy control group,LF/HF is higher than healthy control group and presented negative Cohen's d effects size. Conclusion: The negative effects show that the patients of Alzheimer's disease have autonomic dysfunction and the type of autonomic dysfunction in Alzheimer's disease may be sympathetic hyperactivity or parasympathetic inhibition,or both. So,HRV as a predictive function that can help diagnosis early and nonphamacologic treatment in AD.
