Objective:To summarize the diagnosis and treatment of arteriovenous graft(AVG)infection.Methods: A total 12 patients with AVG infection admitted during May2015 and May 2017 were analyzed retrospectively.Results: the average time of infection occurred was 6.92 + 7.67 months after operation.While the long time of dialysis puncture,so the puncture sites was the most common infection reason(50%).Seroma,wound infection and systemic infection were also important reasons.Staphylococcus Aureus in the culture dish(blood culture and excretion culture)is the most common.6 cases were treated by antibioticand local drainage.Total and subtotal graft excision was carried out separately in 1case,and 4 cases received partial graft excision,while 2 of them had new graft bridging at the same time.8 cases continued to use AVGs for dialysis,2 cases created new accesses,1 death and 1 renal transplantation,no other complications were reported.Conclusions: The management of AVG infection could be quite different according to different patients,there are individualized treatmentmethods,and some patients need no surgical removal.Through early treatment,some AVGs could be saved instead of surgical removement.
