Higher education institutions in some Countries have perceived the importance of International students’ recruitment,have studied the problems these students encounter in the host country and have searched for methods and strategies to assist them in adapting to local culture.With the growing trends of international students coming to China to pursue their studies in order to build their career,so there are numerous challenges they encountered on process of learning.This study aimed to measure the international students’ level of acculturative stress,mental health issues and adaptation difficulties.Methods A total of 730 questionnaires were distributed,713 questionnaires were returned,522 valid questionnaire were available from the international Students of different nationalities from different Universities in Jiangsu provinces of china.The self-administered questionnaire comprises of three scales mainly,Depression Anxiety stress scale-21(DASS-21),Revised socio cultural Adjustment scale(SCAS – R),Acculturative stress scale for international students(ASSIS)and WHO well – being – 5.Those three scales was used to evaluate acculturation stress,mental health and adaptation difficulties respectively.Results The results showed that the social adaptability and the self-assessed well-being logistic regression analysis of international students,the difference in partial regression coefficients was statistically significant,and the partial regression coefficient between the two was-0.138.The results show that there is a certain correlation between social adaptability and the self-evaluated happiness of international students,indicating that the stronger the social adaptability,the higher the self-evaluation and well-being,and the better the international students’ sense of well-being in China.The results show that the partial regression coefficient between psychological adaptability and self-evaluated well-being of international students is 0.063.Shown in the psychological adaptation,the higher the ability to adapt to depression and mental health,the more international students feel happy.The results also show that international students have difficulties in understanding and speaking Chinese.Secondly,the time period for international students coming to China and the gender of international students have self-evaluation between health and health status,but economic support has not yet been found to have an impact on health status.The results show that both psychological adaptability and social and cultural adaptability are comparable.There is a certain correlation between health status.The stronger the ability of international students to adapt to the culture in China,the better the mental fitness and health status.The longer the international student’s time in China,the higher the social adaptability and health status,and the health status of male international students.The social adaptability of women international students is stronger than that of women.
