Objective:To investigate the expression levels of LNK among human breast cancers including triple-negative and non-triple-negative breast cancer, and benign breast neoplasms, and the correlation with clinical outcomes. Methods: The study recruited 10 patients with benign breast neoplasm, and 30 patients with breast cancer, including 15 patients with triple-negative breast cancer and 15 patients with non-triple-negative breast cancer.Immunohistochemistry(IHC)technique was used to assess the expression level of LNK protein in all subjects.SPSS 22.0 was used to analyze the relationships between breast cancer-related parameters and demographics and the expression of LNK in breast cancer tissues. Results: 1 LNK protein was expressed both in breast cancer and benign breast neoplasm tissues. The expression of LNK protein in breast cancer was significantly lower than in benign breast neoplasm,P=0.036.2 The expression of LNK protein in triple-negative breast cancer was significantly lower than in non-triple-negative breast cancer,P<0.05.3 The expression of LNK protein in breast cancer was significantly decreased in the advanced grades,P=0.045.4 The expression of LNK protein in triple-negative breast cancer was significantly decreased with the advance of tumor grades,P<0.05.5 There is no difference in the expression of LNK protein in breast cancer with different tumor stages,P=0.1076.6 There is no difference in the expression of LNK protein in triple-negative breast cancer with different tumor stages,P=0.852.Conclusions: 1 The expression of LNK protein in breast cancer was down regulated.2 The expression of LNK protein in triple-negative breast cancer was down regulated.3 The expression of LNK protein in triple-negative breast cancer was decreased with the advanced tumor grades, suggesting that LNK may be associated with poor prognosis. |
