Objective:To observe the clinical efficacy of Zhitong decoction combined with Water-filtered Infrared-A in the treatment of postherpetic neuralgia.Method:The 120 patients of postherpetic neuralgia who met the standards were divided into treatment group 1,treatment group 2 and control group by randomized controlled trial.As there were 5 cases of abscission during the study and observation,the actual number of completed cases was 38cases in treatment group 1,38 cases in treatment group 2 and 39 cases in control group.Treatment group 1 was treated with Zhitong decoction combined with Water-filtered Infrared-A,treatment group 2 was treated with Zhitong decoction,and control group was treated with pregabalin capsule for4 weeks.The scores of pain degree,pain duration,pain interval,Athens insomnia scale,Hamilton depression scale of the three groups were recorded before treatment,on the 14th day of treatment and on the 28th day of treatment.Meanwhile,the correlation degree between Hamilton depression scale score and pain degree score was observed,and adverse reactions were counted to evaluate the efficacy and safety of drugs.Result:1.On the 14th day of treatment,the pain scores of the three groups were significantly different from those before treatment(P<0.01).There were significant differences between the pain duration score and pain interval score of the prior treatment whether in treatment group 1 or treatment group 2(P<0.01);The control group was compared with the prior treatment,the two indicacators above both had no significant differences(P>0.05).There were significant differences between the pain degree score,the pain duration score and the pain interval score of treatment group 1 whether compared with treatment group 2 or the control group(P<0.01);The treatment group 2 was compared with the control group,the three indicacators above all had no significant differences(P>0.05).There were significant differences between the Athens insomnia scale score and Hamilton depression scale score of the prior treatment whether in treatment group 1 or treatment group 2(P<0.01);The control group was compared with the prior treatment,the two indicacators above both had no significant differences(P>0.05).There were significant differences between the Athens insomnia scale score and the Hamilton depression scale score of treatment group 1 whether compared with treatment group 2 or the control group(P<0.01);The treatment group 2 was compared with the control group,the Athens insomnia scale score had significant differences(P<0.01);while the Hamilton depression scale score had no significant differences(P>0.05).2.On the 28th day of treatment,the pain degree score,the pain duration score,the pain interval score,the Athens insomnia scale score and the Hamilton depression scale score of the three groups were significantly different from those of the 14th day of treatment(P<0.01).There were significant differences between the pain degree score,the pain duration score and the pain interval score of treatment group 1 whether compared with treatment group 2 or the control group(P<0.01);The treatment group 2 was compared with the control group,the three indicacators above all had no significant differences(P>0.05).There were significant differences between the Athens insomnia scale score the Hamilton depression scale score of treatment group 1 whether compared with treatment group 2 or the control group(P<0.01);The treatment group 2 was compared with the control group,the two indicacators above both had significant differences(P<0.01).3.On the 28th day of treatment,the improvement degree of pain scores was taken as the efficacy judge index.In treatment group 1,the number of clinically cured is10,the number of excellence is18,the effective number is 8and the invalid is 2,and the total effective rate was 94.73%.In treatment group2,the number of clinically cured is 6,the number of excellence is10,the effective number is 12 and the invalid number is 10,and the total effective rate was 73.68%.In control group,the number of clinically cured is 5,the number of excellence is 7,the effective number is 14 and the invalid is 13,and the total effective rate was 66.67%.There were significant differences between the efficacy of treatment group 1 whether compared with treatment group 2 or the control group(P<0.01);The treatment group 2 was compared with the control group,the efficacy had no significant differences(P>0.05).4.The three groups of patients'Hamilton depression scale scores and pain degree scores had a positive correlation whenever the before treatment,on the14th day of treatment and on the 28th day of treatment(r_s=0.767).Conclusion:1.Zhitong decoction combined with Water-filtered Infrared-A can significantly improve the pain,sleep and depression of patients with postherpetic neuralgia.2.Zhitong decoction combined with Water-filtered Infrared-A is a safe and effective method for the treatment of postherpetic neuralgia.
