Purpose: A systematic and quantitative comprehensive analysis was made on the results of a number of independent studies on the topic of Wu Mei Pill for the treatment of diarrhea-predominant irritable bowel syndrome(IBS-D).The patient's clinical symptoms and adverse reactions were analyzed. To evaluate the clinical efficacy of Wu Mei Pill in the treatment of diarrhea-predominant irritable bowel syndrome and to provide a reliable evidence-based basis for the treatment of diarrhea-predominant irritable bowel syndrome by Chinese medicine. Methods: In the Chinese Academic Journals Full-text Database(CNKI),the VIP Journal Database(VIP),Wan Fang Data,China Biomedical Literature Database(CBM),HKMO(Hong Kong,Macau, and Boso)excellent academic full-text resource database, the use of keywords and The combination of free words and cross-search methods retrieves relevant documents from January 2007 to December 2017.Based on the inclusion exclusion criteria developed in this study, strict screening was eventually included in the study literature. The modified Jadad scale was used to score the literature included in the study.Meta analysis was performed using statistical software Rev Man5.3.The data analysis model was selected based on the heterogeneity of the analysis.Sensitivity analysis was performed on the results to further assess publication bias.Results:1.The study eventually included 12 articles, including 1 for the master's degree thesis, and 11 other articles published for domestic publicly-published journals. The revised Jadad score scale was used to score the quality of the literature. The scores of the 12 papers were all 1-3 points, and the quality of the literature was low, which was mainly related to the limitations of the implementation of the Chinese herbal decoction blind method.2.Meta analysis using statistical software Rev Man 5.3,the results suggest that the total efficiency of Wu Mei Pill for treatment of diarrhea-predominant irritable bowel syndrome is better than conventional western medicine, and the differences in cure rate, apparent efficiency, and effective rate are statistically significant.significance.There was a statistically significant difference in the incidence of adverse reactions between the two groups.Conclusions:1.Wu Mei Pill for irritable bowel syndrome is more effective than conventional western medicine group in total effective rate and obvious efficiency.2.The incidence of adverse reactions of Wu Mei Pill for irritable bowel syndrome is lower than that of conventional western medicine group, which is safe and reliable.3.The lack of long-term follow-up in the literature included in this study did not reflect the recurrence rate of Wu Mei Pill in the treatment of irritable bowel syndrome.4.The publication period of the literature was concentrated in 2016 and 2017.The degree of attention of Wu Mei Pill for diarrhea-predominant irritable bowel syndrome increased year by year.5.Due to the lack of related randomized controlled trials of traditional Chinese medicine, the number of literatures included in the study is relatively small. The limitations of the implementation of blinded methods in randomized controlled trials of traditional Chinese medicine, the quality of the literature is generally low, this study can not fully be used as evidence-based medicine.evidence.
