OBJECTIVE: To retrospectively analyze the clinical efficacy of postoperative TCM comprehensive treatment for the recovery of colonic total resection, and provide a clinical evidence-based supplement for the application of postoperative rehabilitation in traditional Chinese medicine.METHODS: This study chose to use a single-center retrospective cohort study program. The main subjects were 2018.04-2018.11 inpatients who underwent subtotal colectomy in the Sichuan Intercontinental Gastrointestinal Hospital.According to whether or not they used the Chinese medicine rehabilitation program during hospitalization. For the Chinese medicine rehabilitation group and the non-Chinese medicine rehabilitation group.A propensity score matching method was used to perform a 1:1 match between the two groups to control confounding factors. The mean and standard deviation of the Wexner score, the GIQLI score, and the number of spontaneous spontaneous bowel movements after surgery, the incidence of postoperative persistent symptoms, and the recurrence rate of constipation were compared between the two groups.Differences in efficacy between the two groups were assessed.RESULTS: In the study, the GIQLI scores of patients receiving TCM rehabilitation(113.3±8.9)were significantly higher than those of the non-postoperative TCM rehabilitation group(113.3±8.9),and the difference was statistically significant(P is less than 0.05),the results of Wexner constipation scores of patients with postoperative Chinese medicine rehabilitation(4.5±1.7)were lower than those of nonoperative Chinese medicine rehabilitation group(6.2±1.5),and the difference reached statistical significance(P<0.05).There was no difference between the two groups in terms of pain rate, intractable diarrhea rate, anal bulge rate, and recurrence rate. Conclusion: The postoperative TCM rehabilitation treatment is superior to the simple Western medicine postoperative rehabilitation in the postoperative rehabilitation of subtotal colectomy. It can alleviate the possible discomfort and control complications and improve the quality of life of patients.
