Objective:To investigate the expression of P53 protein and protein arginine methyltransferase 5(PRMT5)in orbital malignant tumors, and to explain the correlation between P53 protein and PRMT5 in various orbital malignant tumors. The mechanism of the development of orbital malignant tumors provides a new idea for gene-targeted therapy of orbital malignant tumors. Methods:A total of 59 patients with pathologically confirmed malignant tumors were enrolled in our hospital from October 2010 to October 2018.They were divided into four groups: group A: 33 cases of basal cell carcinoma and adjacent to cancer Normal tissue, group B: 13 cases of meibomian adenocarcinoma and adjacent normal tissues, group C: 8 cases of squamous cell carcinoma and adjacent normal tissues, group D: 5 cases of malignant melanoma and adjacent normal tissues,The expression of PRMT5 and P53 protein in each group of orbital malignant tumors were detected by immunohistochemistry.Results:1.P53 protein was expressed in each group. The positive expression of P53 protein was brown granule, mainly by nuclear staining, and no expression was found in normal tissues adjacent to cancer. There were 19 cases with positive expression in group A,the positive rate was 57.6%,and the positive expression in group B was positive. There were 8 cases with an expression rate of 53.8%,4 cases with positive expression in group C,and an expression rate of 50%.In group D,2 cases were positive, and the expression rate was 40%.2.PRMT5 was highly expressed in each group. The positive expression of PRMT5 was brown-yellow granules, mainly cytoplasmic staining, and the normal tissues adjacent to the tumor showed low or no expression. There were 24 cases with high expression in group A,the positive rate was 72.7%,group B.There were 9 cases with high expression, the expression rate was 69.2%,5 cases with high expression in group C,the expression rate was 62.5%,and 4 cases with high expression in group D,the expression rate was 80%.3.P53 protein and PRMT5 were correlated in each group(P<0.05): moderately correlated in group A(R=0.578),moderately correlated in group B(R=0.537),in C There was a moderate correlation in the group(R=0.769)and a low correlation in the D group(R=0.408).4.The positive expression of P53 protein and the high expression of PRMT5 were not associated with gender, eye and tumor diameter(P>0.05),while the positive expression of P53 protein was not related to the age of patients(P>0.05).The high expression of PRMT5 and Patients were agerelated(P < 0.05).Conclusion:1.P53 protein and PRMT5 are overexpressed in orbital malignant tumors;2.P53 protein and PRMT5 are involved in the development of orbital malignant tumors;3.P53 protein and PRMT5 are closely related to the occurrence of orbital malignant tumors, and can be used as a marker for detecting orbital malignant tumors.
