Objective:To observe the effect and adverse reactions of phloroglucinol injection on cervical pretreatment before hysteroscopy. Methods:A total of 153 patients who underwent hysteroscopy from the Department of Gynecology, the First Hospital of Shanxi Medical University from January 2018 to January 2019 were randomly divided into the test group(75 cases)and the control group(78 cases). In the test group,40 mg(4 ml)of phloroglucinol injection was given in 15 minutes before operation, and 4 ml of normal saline was administered to the control group in 15 minutes before surgery. The cervical softening effect and the post artificial abortion syndrome(PAAS)were observed. The degree of intraoperative pain [Visual analogue score(VAS)],the duration of hysteroscopy, and the adverse effects of phloroglucinol injection also were observed.Results:1.The number of patients who could be passed by the maximum expansion device without resistance in the test group was(6.61±0.95),and the difference was statistically significant compared with the control group[(4.72±0.69),(P<0.05)].The number of cases in the test group in which the hysteroscopic lens could not directly pass was 3(4%),and the control group was 22(28.2%).The patient who could not be directly passed with the hysteroscopic lens was expanded from the No.3.5 to No.5 expansion device. The time of hysteroscopy was(17.67±2.52)seconds in the test group and(39.95±8.75)seconds in the control group, and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).2.The duration of hysteroscopy in the test group was(2.87±1.24)min and the control group was(4.61±1.18)min,the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).3.The VAS scoringwas used to evaluate the degree of intraoperative pain. The results showed that the score(2.03±1.24)of the test group was significantly lower than the score(3.35±1.14)of the control group(t = 6.86 P < 0.05).The incidence of PAAS in the test group was 4%(3/75)and the incidence in the control group was 19.23%(15/78).The difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).5.In the test group, only 2 cases had mild adverse reactions(1 case of abdominal pain and 1 case of vaginal bleeding before surgery),and the incidence of adverse reactions was only 2.7%.Conclusion:Cervical pretreatment with phloroglucin injection before hysteroscopy can effectively promote cervical softening, reduce pain degree of hysteroscopy, reduce the incidence of PAAS,and effectively shorten the operation time.In addition, phloroglucinol injection has a few of adverse reactions and mild symptoms in hysteroscopy, which is safe and effective, that is convenient for clinical application.
