Objective:This study was to observe the correlation between preoperative and postoperative Oxford knee scores and patient satisfaction after unicompartmental knee arthroplasty and to identify the Oxford knee score threshold for different satisfactions. Methods:A total of 88 patients with unicompartmental knee arthroplasty from January 2017 to June 2018 were enrolled. There were 24 males and 64 females, aged 52-77(65.39±7.33)years old.All patients completed the Oxford Knee Score Questionnaire and Satisfaction Questionnaire before and 6 months after surgery. The correlation between Oxford knee score and satisfaction was analyzed by Spearman rank correlation test. The satisfaction was used as the gold standard, and the ROC curve was drawn to judge the value of the knee knee score on the patient satisfaction before and after surgery. The Yoden Index explores its optimal threshold.Take ?=0.05 as the significance test level. Results:There was no significant correlation between preoperative Oxford knee score and satisfaction(r=0.033,P=0.759).There was a moderate positive correlation between postoperative Oxford knee score and satisfaction(r=0.391,P<0.001).it means that the higher the Oxford knee score after surgery, the higher the patient satisfaction..The area under the curve of the ROC curve for the preoperative Oxford knee score was 0.535[95% CI(0.340--0.730),P=0.758].which was not statistically significant,it means that the preoperative Oxford knee score is less accurate in patient satisfaction;the area under the ROC curve of the postoperative Oxford knee joint score was 0.915,[95%CI(0.848--0.983),P<0.001].It shows that the evaluation of patient satisfaction after postoperative Oxford knee score has higher accuracy. When the Oxford knee score was35,the sensitivity of satisfaction was 0.815,the specificity was 1.00,and the Yoden index was the largest 0.815,which can be used as a threshold for judging patient satisfaction. Conclusion:With the strict control of surgical indications,UKA may achieve higher patient satisfaction;postoperative Oxford knee score is an accurate judgment factor for patient satisfaction, and the threshold of postoperative Oxford knee score is obtained, which may helps clinicians to explain the postoperative results of UKA to patients more intuitively. However, due to the limitations of our research,we recommend a larger sample size for further observation of long-term satisfaction.
