A Clinical Study On Efficacy Of Tiaoshen Yiqi Acupuncture Therapy In Treating Patients With Post Stroke Fatigue

Objective :To observe the clinical effect of Tiao Shen Yi Qi acupuncture therapy on post stroke fatigue(PSF).Methods : 80 patients with PSF were randomly divided into the Tiaoshen Yiqi acupuncture group and the routine acupuncture group,40 cases in each group.Both groups were given basic treatment and rehabilitation exercise for cerebral apoplexy.On this basis,the routine acupuncture group was given conventional acupuncture treatment,and the acupoints were selected as Neiguan,Shuigou,Sanyinjiao,Jiquan,Chize and Weizhong,while the Tiaoshen Yiqi acupuncture group was given acupuncture therapy of Tiaoshen Yiqi,and the acupoints were selected as Baihui,Sishencong,Shenting,Benshen,Quchi,Neiguan.Hegu,Yang Ling Quan,Zusanli,Sanyinjiao and Tai Chong.The two groups were all retaining needles for 30 minutes each time,once a day,6 times a week for 4 weeks.The Fatigue severity scale(FSS),the energy part of the apoplexy specific quality of life scale(SS-QOL),and the modified Barthel index(MBI)scores were observed before and after the intervention of the two groups.Results:After treatment,the two groups of FSS scores were significantly reduced,the energy scores in SS-QOL and MBI scores were significantly increased.The difference was statistically significant compared with that before treatment(P < 0.05)[FSS score(score):the routine acupuncture group was 42.38 ± 4.419 vs.48.28 ± 5.584,the Tiaoshen Yiqi acupuncture group was 35.55 ± 3.479 vs.47.60±6.324;the energy part of SS-QOL(score):the routine acupuncture group was 8.38 ± 1.125 vs.7.03 ± 0.974,the Tiaoshen Yiqi acupuncture group was 10.28 ± 1.132 vs.7.00 ± 1.086;MBI score: the routine acupuncture group was 62.25 ± 6.883 vs.57.00 ± 7.053,the Tiaoshen Yiqi acupuncture group was69.38 ± 8.411 vs.59.38 ± 9.486,all P < 0.05],and after treatment,the improvement of each score in the Tiaoshen Yiqi acupuncture group was better than that in the routine acupuncture group [FSS score(score): 35.55 ± 3.479 vs.42.38 ± 4.419,the energy part of SS-QOL(score): 10.28 ± 1.132 vs.8.38 ± 1.125,MBI score(score): 69.38 ± 8.411 vs.62.25 ± 6.883,all P < 0.05].Conclusion:The Tiaoshen Yiqi acupuncture therapy can effectively alleviate the fatigue symptoms of patients with PSF,improve the patients' mood and their active participation in rehabilitation training and daily life,improve their daily living ability,promote the recovery of the patients' limb function,enhance their self-identification and social value,and improve their quality of life.
