Purpose:To investigate what was changed in choroidal vessels of High blood presure(HBP)patients by means of Multi-spectrum Imaging System(MSI).Methods:30 HBP patients without medicine treated and 98 healthy adults were recruited for this study. All participators underwent examinations including best-corrected visual acuity(BCVA),Axial Length(AL),direct ophthalmoscopy for grading retinal arteriosclerosis and Multi-spectrum Imaging System(MSI).MSI images were analyzed in several respects:choroidal vessel exposure grade(EG),density and diameter, which were compared to age, with or without hypertension, retinal arteriosclerosis degree(RAD)and AL respectively with Spearman 's rank correlation analysis. Results:EG of all participators was significantly positively correlated with age(rs=0.378,p<0.001),AL[rs=0.268,p<0.001)and RAD(rs=0.329,p<0.001);the diameter was negatively correlated with age[rs=-0.348,p<0.001)and RAD(rs=-0.244,p<0.001).In hypertension group,EG was positively correlated with age(rs=0.594,p=0.001)but was not correlated with AL;RAD was positively correlated with AL(rs=0.445,p<0.001)but was not correlated with EG and diameter. Conclusion:This study was using MSI to analyze choroidal vessels from en face view.We took a relative comparison method to find changes of choroidal vessels in hypertension and retinal arteriosclerosis patients were accorded with retinal vessels.Maybe in the near future,MSI could be a more important tool to monitor choroidal vessels changes before other organs were damaged by hypertension.
