ObjectiveTo investigate the differences in the expression levels of Estrogen receptor(ER)and Vascular Endothelial Grown Factor(VEGF)in decidual tissues of different age groups(older and younger pregnant women)and different pregnancy outcome groups(normal pregnancy outcome group and adverse pregnancy outcome group)during late pregnancy, and to compare the relationship between pregnancy outcome and ER?VEGF in different age groups. To explore whether the expression levels of the two factors are related to the occurrence and development of pregnancy outcome in old age.MethodsFrom January 2018 to June 2018,a total of 141 cases of placental decidual tissues of pregnant women giving birth in the obstetrics ward of Hunan Provincial People's Hospital in late pregnancy(gestational week 28 weeks)were collected.Among them,53 cases were in the advanced age group(age great than or equal to 35 years old): 24 cases in the normal pregnancy outcome group and 29 cases in the adverse pregnancy outcome group.88 cases in the young group(age less than 35 years old):70 cases in the young normal pregnancy outcome group and 18 cases in the young adverse pregnancy outcome group.Immunohistochemical SP method was used to detect the expression levels of ER and VEGF in decidual tissues of the uterine, and statistical analysis was performed.Rusults(1)General comparison of the data between the two groups:there was no statistically significant difference in the number of pregnancy and delivery between the older and younger women(P > 0.05).There was a statistically significant difference in the weeks of gestation termination between older and younger women(P < 0.05).(2)The positive expression level of ER in young patients was higher than that in old patients in the normal pregnancy outcome group, and the difference was statistically significant(P < 0.05).In the adverse pregnancy outcome group, the ER positive expression level in the young group was higher than that in the old group, and the difference was statistically significant(P < 0.05).The expression level of estrogen receptor in normal pregnancy outcome group was higher than that in adverse pregnancy outcome group, and the difference was statistically significant(P < 0.05).(3)The positive VEGF expression level in the normal pregnancy group was higher than that in the elderly group, and the difference was statistically significant(P < 0.05).In the adverse pregnancy group, the positive VEGF expression level in the young group was higher than that in the old group, and the difference was statistically significant(P < 0.05).There was no significant difference in VEGF expression between the normal pregnancy outcome group and the adverse pregnancy outcome group(P > 0.05).(4)In the young group, the positive expression level of ER and VEGF in the normal pregnancy outcome group and the adverse pregnancy outcome group were not statistically significant(P > 0.05).There was no significant difference in ER positive expression level and VEGF positive expression level between the normal pregnancy outcome group and the adverse pregnancy outcome group(P > 0.05).(5)The relationship between ER and VEGF expression levels in decidua of uteri during pregnancy and late stage: there was a positive correlation between ER and VEGF expression levels(r= 0.718,P < 0.05).Conclusion:(1)In different pregnancy outcome groups(normal pregnancy outcome group, adverse pregnancy outcome group),the expression levels of ER and VEGF in the young group were higher than those in the old group. In all subjects, the expression level of ER in the normal pregnancy outcome group was higher than that in the adverse pregnancy outcome group. There was no significant difference in VEGF expression between the normal pregnancy outcome group and the adverse pregnancy outcome group. The expression levels of ER and VEGF may be related to adverse pregnancy outcomes in elderly women.(2)ER and VEGF expression levels were positively correlated in all subjects.
