ObjectiveThis study was to investigate the status of type D personality, illness perception, selfefficacy and self-management behavior in patients undergoing percutaneous coronary Intervention(PCI).To analyze the relationship between type D personality, illness perception,self-efficacy and self-management behavior;to explore the role mode of personality on self-management,and to provide a theoretical basis for clinical nursing to improve the self-management behavior of patients with type D personality and to develop the individualized interventions.Methods.A total of 222 patients who underwent PCI for the first time in the Department of Cardiology,Qingdao University Affiliated Hospital from October 2017 to January 2018 were enrolled.questionnaires were used to survey patients' demographic-data,type D personality, illness perception,self-efficacy and self-management behavior.Statistical analysis was performed on the data using SPSS19.0 and Mplus7.0 statistical software. The count data is described by frequency and percentage, measurement data were described by mean and standard deviation, and were compared with single factor analysis or t-test.multivariate analysis were used to explore the multiple factors that influence patients' self-management behaviors,Pearson correlation was used for correlation analysis between variables;Bootstrap method was used for path analysis of fitted models.Results1.29.28% of PCI patients in this study had type D personality;the patient's illness perception score was(36.59±5.68);the self-efficacy score was 2.38±0.37;the selfmanagement behavior score was 83.08±11.45,and the three dimension degree from high to low were emotional cognitive management(3.36 ± 0.63),daily life management(3.29± 0.51),disease medical management(2.89 ± 0.50);2.The self-management behavior of the patients was statistically significant(P<0.05)in terms of education level, income and disease duration.3.Compared with Non-Type D personality of PCI patients, patients with typeD personality showed significant differences in illness perception,self-efficacy and self-management behavior(P<0.05).4.Correlation analysis showed that type D personality was positively correlated with disease perception(r=0.464,P<0.01),and negatively correlated with self-efficacy(r=-0.380,P<0.01),and negatively correlated with self-management behavior(r=-0.501,P<0.01);disease perception was negatively correlated with self-efficacy(r=-0.427,P<0.01),and negatively correlated with self-management behavior(r=-0.556,P<0.01);self-efficacy and Self-management behavior was positively correlated(r=0.517,P<0.01).5.Regression analysis showed that the patient's general data, type D personality, illness perception, and self-efficacy could explain 47.5% of patients' postoperative selfmanagement variation.6.Structural equation model shows that type D personality directly affects selfmanagement behavior, the standardized estimated value is-0.285,accounting for 48.5%of the total effect;type D personality can influence self-management behavior indirectly through disease perception, and the standardized estimated value is-0.133,accounting for22.6% of the total effect;type D personality can affect self-management behavior indirectly through self-efficacy.The standardized estimated value is-0.128,accounting for 21.8% of the total effect.type D personality can also pass the chain of self-efficacy and disease perception. The mediation effect affects self-management behavior, and the standardized estimate is-0.042,accounting for 7.1% of the total effect.ConclusionThe self-management behavior of PCI patients was at a moderate level.Education, income, duration of disease, type D personality, illness perception and self-efficacy are important predictors of self-management behavior.Type D personality can not only directly affect the patient's self-management,but also indirectly affect the patient's selfmanagement through illness perception and self-efficacy.
