Objectives To analyze the effect of gestational diabetes mellitus(GDM)on arteriosclerosis in women after delivery. Methods Brachio-ankle arterial pulse wave velocity(baPWV)was used to evaluate arteriosclerosis. From January 2006 to December 2016,1400 female employees of kailuan group with complete delivery data were selected,1082 of whom were examined by baPWV,and the inclusion and exclusion criteria of the study subjects were strictly implemented.Finally,1020 cases were included in the statistical analysis.According to whether the subjects had GDM,they were divided into GDM group and non-gdm group, and baPWV?1400cm/s was defined as arteriosclerosis. The detection rate of atherosclerosis between the two groups was compared, and the relationship between fasting blood glucose during pregnancy and baPWV after delivery was analyzed by multivariate linear regression, and the influence of GDM on atherosclerosis after delivery was analyzed by multivariate logistic regression. Results 1 Among the 1020 subjects included in the statistical analysis, the average age of delivery was 28.64±3.06 years old, which was divided into GDM group(134 cases)and non-gdm group(886 cases).2 BaPWV test was performed after an average of 4.85±2.94 years after delivery. The detection rate of atherosclerosis in the general population was6.5%.The detection rate of atherosclerosis in the GDM group(10.4%)was higher than that in the non-gdm group(5.9%),and the difference was statistically significant(P=0.045).3Multivariate linear regression analysis suggested that, after adjusting for other confounders, for every 1 mmol/L increase in fasting glucose during pregnancy,baPWV increased by10.51 cm/s.Multivariate logistic regression analysis showed that after adjusting for other confounders,GDM was a risk factor for atherosclerosis in women after delivery, and the OR value(95%CI)was 2.05(1.08~3.91).Conclusions GDM is a risk factor for atherosclerosis in women after delivery.Figure0;Table4;Reference 40...
