Objective:According to many years of clinical experience in the treatment of degenerative lumbar spinal stenosis in WuHan TCM hospital,it was found that the clinical effect of traditional Chinese massage therapy combined with acupotomywas better. This study observed the efficacy,VAS score,JOA score,ODI index and adverse reactions of patients after treatment, and compared with the patients treated by traditional Chinese medicine,to explore the clinical value of traditional Chinese massage therapy combined with acupotomy in the treatment of degenerative lumbar spinal stenosis.Methods:84 patients with degenerative lumbar spinal stenosis admitted in our hospital from October 2016 to October 2018 were selected. They were randomly divided into control group(42cases)and observation group(42 cases). The patients in the control group were treated with traditional Chinese massage therapy alone, while the patients in the observation group were treated with traditional Chinese massage therapy combined with acupotomy. The VAS score,JOA score and ODI index were evaluated before treatment,7 days,14 days,21 days and 1 month after treatment. The effect was evaluated in 21 days of treatment,Including pain symptoms improvement effect and clinical treatment effect, and the adverse reactions during treatment was recorded. The results of the study were obtained by statistical processing of data.Results:1.The effective rate of pain symptoms improvement in the observation group was significantly higher than that in the control group, with statistical significance(P < 0.05).However,there was no significant difference in the clinical efficacy between the two groups(P > 0.05).2.There were no changes in blood pressure, heart rate and respiration during treatment in both groups.Neither pinhole infection, local hematoma, muscle and nerve injury nor adverse reactions to anesthesia occurred.3.The VAS values of 7,14,21 days and 1 month after treatment in the two groups were significantly lower than those before treatment, with statistical significance(P < 0.05).There was no significant difference in VAS score between the two groups before treatment,21 days of treatment and 1 month after treatment(P > 0.05).But,The VAS score of the observation group was significantly lower than that of the control group on the 7 and 14 day of treatment, with statistical significance(P < 0.05).4.The JOA values of 7,14,21 days and 1 month after treatment in the two groups were significantly higher than those before treatment, and the difference was statistically significant(P < 0.05).There was no significant difference in JOA score between the two groups before treatment,21 days of treatment and 1 month after treatment(P > 0.05).But,the JOAscore of the observation group was significantly higher than that of the control group on the 7 and 14 day of treatment, with statistically significant(P < 0.05).5.The ODI index of the two groups at 7,14,21 days and1 month after treatment was significantly lower than that before treatment, with statistically significant(P <0.05).There was no significant difference in ODI index between the two groups before treatment,21 days of treatment and 1month after treatment(P > 0.05).The ODI index of the observation group was significantly lower than that of the control group on the 7 and 14 days of treatment, with statistically significant(P < 0.05).Conclusion:This study shows that the combination of traditional Chinese massage therapy and traditional Chinese massage therapy combined with acupotomy can effectively improve the pain symptoms and dysfunction of patients with degenerative lumbar spinal stenosis. However, the clinical application value of traditional Chinese massage therapy combined with acupotomy is significantly better, which is helpful to further improve the clinical efficacy and has higher clinical safety.
