Objective:To analyze the clinical characteristics of mycoplasma pneumoniae plastic bronchitis,and to improve the early recognition level of clinical doctors.Methods:The clinical data of children with mycoplasma pneumoniae bronchitis were collected and analyzed retrospectively.Results:5 cases were enrolled retrospectively.2 were males.All cases had cough and hyperthermia,the fever process varied from 8 to 15days.4 cases presented with respiratory failure.3 cases had toxic hepatitis,3 cases had hypoproteinemia,2 cases had toxic encephalopathy,1 case had toxic myocarditis,and 1 case had iliac vein and femoral vein thrombosis.All patients showed unilateral atelectasis with consolidation.Plastic bronchitis were confirmed on the 8th to 15th day by bronchoscopy.The bronchoscopy showed 4 patients had bronchial obstruction and 1 case had main bronchus obstruction.The plastic body was removed completely after24 times of bronchoscopy.Conclusion:Mycoplasma pneumoniae plastic bronchitis should be considered in mycoplasma pneumoniae pneumonia children combined with dyspnea,unilateral atelectasis/consolidation.Bronchoscopy plays an important role in defining diagnosis and improving prognosis.
