Research On The Causes Of 202 Cases Of Child Chronic Cough In Chongqing Area

Objective: To explore the disease cause constitution of child chronic cough.Methods: The clinical data of 202 children with chronic cough who were hospitalized in the Affiliated Children's Hospital of Chongqing Medical University from May 2015 to November 2017 were retrospectively analyzed.Results : The distribution of disease causes of 202 child patients is as follows: post-infection cough(PIC)in 81 cases(40.1%),cough variant asthma(CVA)in 71 cases(35.1%),upper airway cough syndrome(UACS)in 43 cases(21.3%),foreign body aspiration in 3 cases(1.5%),gastroesophageal reflux cough(GERC)in 1 case(0.5%),Tourette's syndrome(TS)in 2 cases(1.0%)and congenital respiratory disorders in 1case(0.5%),of which 119 cases(58.9%)of chronic cough are caused by a single factor,and 83 cases(41.1%)are caused by multiple factors.The differences in the disease cause constitution of groups with different ages(<1 year old,about 1 year old,about 3 years old,6-14 years old),diseasecourses(4weeks-,3-6months,>6months)and cough natures(wet cough and dry cough)are statistically significant(P<0.01),while those of groups with different genders are not statistically significant(P>0.05).Conclusion: The top three causes of child chronic cough are post-infection cough,cough variant asthma,upper airway cough syndrome.There are differences in the main causes of chronic cough in children with different age grades,disease courses and cough natures.
