ObjectiveTo assess the effects of multifaceted follow-up study on the standard quadruple therapy for H.Pylori infection.MethodsA total of 240 patients who have been diagnosed H.pylori positive at the First Affiliated Hospital of Chongqing Medical University were randomized into three groups: the outpatient follow-up group, the telephone follow-up group and the Wechat follow-up group(n=80 in each group),all patients were on the 14-day standard quadruple therapy of eradicating H.pylori.The patients of the outpatient follow-up group only received routine health care only at the time of first clinical visit. While the telephone and Wechat follow-up group received structured telephone or Wechat follow-up after discharge on regular days and the outpatient follow-up group that received routine health care only at the time of first clinical visit. The first day after the end of the 14-day course of treatment, patients in the three groups were reminded by telephone of the time for reexamination of helicobacter pylori. The results of helicobacter pylori reexamination, adverse reactions and medication status were collected by telephone in the fourth and sixth weeks after treatment. The Hp eradication rate, compliance and adverse events of all the enrolled patients under different follow-up plans were evaluated.Results1.The effective eradication rate of Hp in outpatient group, telephone group and WeChat group was 81.4%,92.6% and 95.5%,respectively.The eradication rate of helicobacter pylori in telephone group and WeChat follow-up group was significantly higher than that in outpatient group.2.The drug taking rates of outpatient group, telephone group and WeChat group were 94.9%,97.3% and 94.8% respectively, and the drug compliance was similar. The Hp reexamination rates of the three groups were 79.7%,89.0% and 91.8%,respectively.The compliance of helicobacter pylori reexamination in the telephone and WeChat follow-up groups was higher than that in the outpatient group.3.During the treatment period, the incidence of adverse drug reactions in each group was 6.4%,12.0% and 16.9%,respectively,with mild symptoms and no statistical significance.ConclusionTelephone and WeChat follow-up combined with targeted and systematic health education can effectively improve the rate of Hp eradication in patients and the rate of Hp review after treatment, although there is no significant difference in eradication rate and compliance between the two groups in this study,However,WeChat follow-up is more suitable for monitoring disease follow-up and treatment in the era of clinical big data due to its high flexibility, low cost and abundant information.
