Study Of Diagnosing The Patients Having Colorectal Cancer And Yang-deficiency Constitution With Abdominal Cysts

Backgroud Constitution theory plays a critical role in the basic theory of traditional Chinese medicine.Among the patients having colorectal carcinoma,Yang-deficiency constitution is one of the main types in nine constitutions.Using auxiliary examination objectively diagnoses the patients with colorectal cancer(CRC)and Yang-deficiency constitution,can be beneficial to facilitate the clinical objectification diagnosis and treatment of the patients with CRC and Yang-deficiency constitution and accelerate the modern constitution study of patients with tumor.Objective The intent of the study was to research the relatedness of the Yang-deficiency constitution and the abdominal cysts in patients with CRC.The value of abdominal cysts diagnosing the patients with CRC and Yang-deficiency constitution was analyzed and verified.This study could provide basis of imaging diagnosis for the objective analysis of the patients with CRC and Yang-deficiency constitution in clinic.Methods Filtrating sets and verifing sets were brought into this study,and respectively included experimental group(patients with CRC and Yang-deficiency constitution)and control group(patients with CRC and other constitutions,patients with other tumor,patients with benign and chronic deseases of colorectum,healthy people).According to the results of imaging examination,the diameter and amount of abdominal cysts were estimated.Analyzing the distribution of two groups in Filtrating sets and formulating diadynamiccriteria X1,X2,X3 according to the diameter and amount of cysts.Then making the Receiving Operating Characteristic(ROC)curve and filtrating a best diadynamiccriteria for the patients with CRC and Yang-deficiency constitution via Area Under Curve(AUC).Finally,the diadynamic criteria would be verified using the samples in verifing sets.Results 144 samples were brought into This study,which falled into filtrating sets with 79 samples and verifing sets with 65 samples.There were 76 sanmples(52.8%)with CRC and Yang-deficiency constitution and 68 samples(47.2%)with other conditions.The distribution of abdominal cysts in experimental group and contral group had significant differences in filtrating sets(p<0.05).The AUC of ROC curve of diadynamiccriteria X1,X2 and X3 were0.665,0.861 and 0.851(p < 0.05).According to virifing the results in verifing sets,the sensitiveness(79.4%),specificity(83.9%)and diagnostic index(163.3)of diadynamic criteria X2 were all better than others.So,diadynamic criteria X2 had suitable diagnostic efficiency and had diagnostic value in clinic.Conclusion Abdominal cysts had diagnostic value in clinic for the diagnosis of the patients with CRC and Yang-deficiency constitution.while the diameter of cysts up to 2cm or the number of cysts up to 3,the diagnostic value of Abdominal cysts were fine.This study was worthy of further investigation.
