Postoperative Efficacy Of Unilateral Vidian Neurectomy On Allergic Rhinitis With Brochial Asthma

Objective:To evaluate the postoperative efficacy of unilateral vidian neurectomy on allergic rhinitis with bronchial asthma.Methods:25 patients with allergic rhinitis and bronchial asthma treated with unilateral vidian neurectomy in our hospital from 2018.01 to 2019.01.Comparative analysis the Symptom improvement were assessed at pre-operation and 1 months,2 months and 6 months after operation using Visual Analogue Scale(VAS),Rhinoconjunctivitis Quality of Life Questionnaire(RQLQ),Asthma Control Test(ACT).Results:(1)VAS had significant difference before operation,1 month after operation,2 months after operation and 6 months after operation(P < 0.05).There were significant differences in VAS 1 month,2 months and 6 months after operation compared with that before operation.From the Outline map,VAS showed a downward trend,as shown in Figure 1.(2)There were significant differences in RQLQ before operation,1 month after operation,2 months after operation and 6 months after operation(P < 0.05).There were significant differences in RQLQ between 2 months after operation and 6 months after operation.There was no significant difference in RQLQ between 1 month after operation and before operation.From the Outline map,RQLQ showed a downward trend,as shown in Figure 2.(3)The difference of ACT before operation,1 month after operation,2 months after operation and 6 months after operation was statistically significant(P<0.05).There was no significant difference between the 1 month postoperatively and the 2 months postoperatively.There was a statistically significant difference between the 6 months postoperatively and the preoperative one.From the Outline map,ACT showed a upward trend,as shown in Figure 3.Conclusion:Unilateral vidian neurectomy is a safe and effective treatment for allergic rhinitis with brochial asthma,which can significantly improve the postoperative quality of life.
