Dendrobium officinale Kimura et Migo is a perennial herb of the genus Dendrobium in the Orchidaceae family.It is a reputation as the head of nine fairies.It is an extremely precious-eating homologous plant.It has the function of enhancing immunity and lowering blood sugar.Huqi extractions was prepared from Dendrobium candidum,Astragalus membranaceus et al.The immunosuppressive and hypoglycemic effects of Huqi extraction on immunosuppressive mice and type II diabetic mice were studied in order to provide theoretical basis and effective evaluation for the clinical application of Huqi extraction.The results are as follows:1.The results of enhance Immunization of immunosuppressional model mice with Huqi extraction: The immunosuppressional model mice induced by cyclophosphamide(CTX)were corrected after 30 days of intragastric administration of Huqi extraction.The body mass of CTX inhibiting the immune function of mice was significantly different from that of the high dose group of Huqi extraction(P<0.05),indicating that the Huqi extraction has a certain alleviation effect on the reduction of body mass in mice caused by low immunity.For the clearance index and phagocytic index analysis,the high dose group of Huqi extraction was extremely higher than the model group(P<0.01);The immune organ index of the high and middle dose groups was statistically significant compared with the model group(P<0.05),and with the increase of dose,the effect increases;The cell morphology of the spleen and thymus of the immune organs was observed to be closer to the normal control group,indicating that the Huqi extraction has a repairing effect on the immune organ damage of mice;The gene expression of immune cytokines was confirmed that the expression levels of interleukin L-18,IL-27,1L-1?,IL-2,chemokine CCL2,interferon IFN-?,and TNF-? were up-regulated.The Huqi extraction also effectively improved the intestinal flora of the mice.When compared with the model group,the middle dose group probiotics number was increased.The results showed that the high dose group of Huqi extraction 2000mg/kg had a significant effect on improving the immune function of immunosuppressed mice.2.The results of hypoglycemic effect in mice with Huqi extraction:The blood glucose reduction rates of high,medium and low doses of Huqi extraction were 34.6%,31.8% and 34.8%,respectively;compared with the negative control group,the area under the blood glucose curve of positive control group and medium dose were significantly reduced(P<0.05).Compared with the negative control group,the serum glycated protein(GSP)of the positive control group and the high,medium and low dose groups of Huqi extraction were also significantly reduced.The Huqi extraction promoted the synthesis of hepatic glycogen and significantly improved the glucose tolerance of mice in the experimental group.Compared with the negative control group,the high,medium and low dosegroups significantly changed the blood lipid levels of the type II diabetic mice.Compared with the negative control group,high and medium dose urea(BUN)and creatinine(CR)were significantly different(P<0.05),which alleviated the renal function damage of the type II diabeticmice.The alloxan-induced type II diabetic mice were corrected after the administration of the Huqi extraction for 30 days.The results showed that3000mg/kg of high dose group of Huqi extraction had significant improvement on the symptoms of diabetic mice.
