Efficacy Of Compound Eosinophil-lactobacillus Tablets On Reducing The Incidence Of Diarrhea In Patients After Colonoscopy

Objective To investigate the clinical effects of compound eosinophil-lactobacillus tablets on reducing the incidence of diarrhea in patients after colonoscopy.Methods From Jun.2018 to Dec.2018,403 patients underwent colonoscopy were randomized to 2 groups,as probiotics group and control group.Probiotics group(205)was treated with compound eosinophil-lactobacillus tablets 14 days after colonoscopy,Take two tablets each time,three times a day in half hours after meals.In control group,no treatment was performed.All patients ingested 1L polyethylene glycol electrolyte lavage solution at 9pm on the day before colonoscopy,then ingested 2L polyethylene glycol electrolyte lavage solution at 6am on the day of colonoscopy.Then all the patients were asked to complete the questionnaires,which include stool frequency,stool characters,gastrointestinal adverse reaction(abdominal pain,abdominal distention,nausea,vomiting,anus discomfort),for further analysis.Results The daily stool frequency in probiotics group was lower than control group,the stool frequency in first day has no statistically significant difference(P>0.05).but the other 13days has statistically significant difference(P<0.05).The incidence of abdominal pain,abdominal distention,nausea,vomiting and anus discomfort in probiotics group was lower than control group after dayl,day2,day3 and day7.The difference between two groups in incidence of abdominal pain after day3 and the incidence of abdominal distention after day2 and day3 has statistically significant(P<0.05),the other has no statistically significant difference(P>0.05).The incidence of diarrhea in control group after colonoscopy 14days were from 0%to 12.1%,and more than 95%patients didn’t have diarrhea after colonoscopy 8days.The incidence of diarrhea in probiotics group after colonoscopy 14days were from 0%to 9.3%,and all patients didn’t have diarrhea after colonoscopy 9days.The difference between two groups in incidence of diarrhea after day5 and day6 has statistically significant(P<0.05).Conclusion The application of compound eosinophil-lactobacillus tablets can reduce the incidence of diarrhea in patients after colonoscopy.The diarrhea after colonoscopy was a self-limted diseottom,most patients were back to normal in the 8 days after colonoscopy.The application of compound eosinophil-lactobacillus tablets can improve the feeling of abdominal pain and abdominal distension in patients after colonoscopy.
