A Study On The Intervention Of Music Therapy On Improving Communication Ability Of The Children With Mental Retardation

Communication is the basic social activity of mankind,the basic condition for personal growth and development and adaptation to social life.Children with intellectual disabilities have certain defects in cognition,language and emotions due to brain function development disorders,which affects the development of their communication skills;And poor communication skills will seriously affect the healthy growth of children with intellectual disabilities and maintain normal relationships with family and society.Therefore,we should focus on training the mentally handicapped children's communication skills,and lay a good foundation for them to adapt to social life as soon as possible.At present,rehabilitation education and functional training are mostly used to treat the communication ability of children with intellectual disabilities in our country.However,due to the monotonicity of the treatment process and the limited understanding ability of the children with intellectual disabilities,Simple training is not easy to attract and improve the attention of mentally handicapped children.On the contrary,music has a unique ability not only to attract children with mental disabilities,to participate in music activities autonomously,to generate interaction,and to promote communication with each other;It is also possible to use group music therapy activities to promote communication and communication among children with intellectual disabilities,to enhance their cooperation,to enrich their means of communication and skills,so as to enhance the communication ability of children with mental disabilities.This article has carried on the one-year practice activity in the Longzixin Children with Mental Disabilities Trust Center in Xinxiang City,using the methods of acceptance,re-creation,improvisation and Orfundefineds music therapy to intervene and treat the children with mental disabilities.It is proved that music therapy has a significant effect on improving the communication ability of children with mental retardation.And hope to be able to combine their professional hosting center as a platform,through the improvement of the communication ability of mentally handicapped children,to help them to be accepted by the society.
