Background:Music therapy has a long history in the study of psychological intervention of people with autism.Orff music therapy is extensively adopted by autistic due to its features of origin,unity,rhythm and communication.At present,the study of Orff music therapy on autism is still in an initial exploratory phase in China.Therefore,it mainly conducts research on individual cases and the assessment methods are incomplete.Objective:To work out a feasible and scientific intervention model of music therapy specific to autism.The musical ability,symptoms and music therapy of people with autism were taken as the subject study variables.Orff music therapy was taken as the example to explore the difference in the effects of music therapy on different autistic patients,thus to reveal the effect of music therapy on the emotion,verbal ability,social interaction,sensory perception and behavioral expression of people with autism.Method:Experiments and case study were combined to do research.2(high and low musical ability)*3(fast,medium-speed and slow music)experiments were designed in experiments part to conduct the experiments for 11 people with autism for half a year and assess the effect through Autism Treatment Evaluation Checklist and drawing.No.6 tester(low musical ability,light autism)and No.8 tester(high musical ability,medium autism)were picked up to do case study using the method of observation.Results:1.Orff music therapy has a certain effect on verbal ability,social interaction,perceived ability and behavioral performance in autistic.2.In Orff music therapy,the music ability of people with autism is significantly different in sensory perception.3.In Orff music therapy,different tempos of music have significant different effects on the sensory perception and mood state of people with autism.4.The behavioral expression of people with autism influences the efficacy of Orff music therapy;people with autism of different severity have significant differences in the therapy on verbal ability;people with autism having different language ability have significant differences in the therapy on sensory perception.5.Whether the autism is typical autism is not an influencing factor on the eficacy of Orff music therapy.6.In Orff music therapy,different musical ability of people with autism and different tempos of music are interactive with their behavioral expression and sensory perception.
