Clinical Study On Phlegm-dampness Simple Obesity And Related Compl Ications In Foshan Area

ObjectiveThe aim of this study was to investigate and analyze the clinical data of 1149 cases of adult simple obesity in Foshan area,and to collect 476 cases of sputum simple obesity as the main research object,horizontally compare and analyze the differences and correlation between different constitutions in obesity and related complications.Based on the perspective of TCM constitution,to explain the theoretical basis of TCM prevention and treatment of simple obesity,deepen the application and research of physical theory in simple obesity,and apply early intervention of TCM to improve obesity-related.The kind of biased constitution of phlegm-dampness provides theoretical support for preventing the occurrence and development of various chronic complications.MethodsA retrospective investigation method was used to collect adult patients with simple obesity who met the inclusion criteria in the Medical Center of the Foshan Hospital Of Traditional Chinese Medicine from January 2018 to December 2018,using the Chinese Medicine Constitution Classification and Judgment Criteria compiled by Professor Wang Qi.After the investigation and analysis of TCM constitutional symptoms,clinical data such as height,weight,body mass index,blood sugar,blood pressure,blood lipids,uric acid and liver function were collected to establish a simple obesity database of TCM constitution,using SPSS22.0 software to calculate,and analyze the similarities and differences of the body mass index(BMI),blood pressure,blood sugar,uric acid,liver function,blood lipids,obesity rate,hyperlipidemia,and hyperuricemia between the two groups.Results1.This subject includes 1149 cases of simple obesity.After TCM constitution identification,the main types of constitution are:Phlegm-Dampness Constitution>Balanced Constitution>Dampness-heat Constitution>Qi-deficiency Constitution>Stagnant Qi Constitution>Stagnant Blood Constitution)Yang-Deficiency Constitution>Yin-Deficiency Constitution)Inherited Special Constitution.Among them,476 cases of Phlegm-Dampness Constitution and 241 cases of Balanced Bonstitution,the two main constitutions were grouped for comparative analysis.2.There were no significant differences in the statistical data between the two groups of subjects including gender and age,and the statistical data were not significantly different(P>0.05).The baseline data of the two groups were balanced and comparable.3.The index of BMI,obesity rate,systolic blood pressure,fasting blood glucose level,uric acid level,hyperuricemia incidence,TCH and hyperlipidemia ncidence were significantly higher in the Phlegm-Dampness Constitution group than in the Balanced Constitution.There was a significant difference between the groups(P<0.05);while the HDL-C level was lower than the Balanced Constitution group,there was a significant difference between the groups(P<0.05).4.At a=0.05,the logistic regression equation analysis of the correlation between Phlegm-Dampness Constitution and simple obesity and related complications showed that BMI、UA、TCH became the main risk factors for Phlegm-Dampness Constitution simple obesity and its associated complications.ConclusionThe Phlegm-Dampness Constitution is the main constitution type of simple obesity in Foshan area,and the Balanced Constitution is the second.Compared with the Balanced Constitution,the metabolic index and risk factors of the complication of the Phlegm-Dampness Constitution group were significantly increased.This study shows that Phlegm-Dampness Constitution is the main high-risk type of simple obesity and related complications in Foshan area.It should improve the life quality of simple obesity patients and reduce the incidence of the related complications,through change the biased constitution.
