The virtual surgery simulation system is a typical application of virtual reality technology in the medical field. In the actual surgery, medical personnel usually perform cutting operations on biological tissues. Therefore, simulation of cutting operations in virtual surgery is indispensable. However, most of the existing cutting algorithms have problems such as non-smooth cut and easy distortion. In order to solve these problems, some improvement schemes are proposed in this paper. The details are as follows:First, the mass point spring model is used to model the soft tissue. At the same time,in order to improve the defects of the traditional particle spring model,a bending spring is introduced to make the model have better recovery ability after deformation.Secondly,in view of the problems of traditional cutting algorithm with large incision, not smooth surface and insufficient applicability,a step-by-step cutting algorithm is proposed. All cutting points are divided into three categories, and then different splitting operations are adopted for the three types of cutting points. The size of the incision can be controlled, and the incision can be updated in real time.In addition,in order to increase the smoothness of the incision,a secondary movement strategy of the tangent point is proposed. When a part of the incision is curved to a greater extent, the tangent point here is appropriately moved.,thereby reducing the degree of bending, making the incision more visually realistic. Finally,in order to improve the real-time performance of the system, this paper proposes a group collision detection algorithm. The algorithm first groups the basic units of the model, and then detects the units of a certain group according to the collision situation, which reduces the basic unit that needs to be detected.Experiments show that this method can improve the real-time performance of the system.
