Abstract/Summary:
BackgroudEndometrial scratch had been considered to be an alternative option to improve the pregnancy outcomes of women with recurrent implantation failure. However, the underlying molecular mechanism remained elusive.AimDid endometrial scratch performed in mid-luteal phase affect the genomic characteristics of peri-implantation endometrium in the following cycle in RIF women?MethodWe conducted this retrospectively self-control cohort study in a university affiliated university between 2016.9-2018.6.A total of 8 women with recurrent implantation failure were recruited. Each participant had endometrial biopsy twice, one biopsy was done on day LH+7 in a natural cycle, and the second biopsy was performed on day LH+7 immediately in the following cycle. The two cohorts of endometrial specimens obtained from the first and the second biopsy were used for RNA isolation and mRNA sequencing.Comparisons between the two cohorts were made by R package for identifiing differentially expressed genes, and gene set enrichment analysis.ResultNo significant differences were found between the two groups in genomic profiles of endometrium obtained from the two cohorts.ConclusionEndometrial scratch performed on the day of LH+7 in previous menstrual cycle did not affect the endometrial genomic profiles peri-implantation period in the following cycle in women with recurrent implantation failure.
