Official doctors of Taiyuan Hospital in Ming Dynasty refer to all doctors under the jurisdiction of Taiyuan Hospital, including two categories: medical officers and grass-roots medical service.Medical officers refer to ambassadors, court judges, imperial doctors, officials, ambassadors and deputy ambassadors. They are limited in quota.Grass-roots doctors refer to doctors and doctors.Among them, doctors are catered for food, crown bands, miscellaneous salaries and salaries at branch level. In Ming Dynasty,Tai Hospital needed four ways of admission: local recommendation, doctor selection, donation into the hospital and eunuch promotion. In the early Ming Dynasty, the government doctors were mainly selected by the way recommended by the local government;in the later Ming Dynasty, the world medical system was adopted, that is,the selection of official doctors among the doctors, which was the most common way of selecting the official doctors in the Ming Dynasty;in the middle and late Ming Dynasty, due to the shortage of government finance, the official doctors could also be selected by donation;in the middle and late Ming Dynasty, many people entered the official medical team of the Taiyuan Hospital through the way of “eunuch worship”.However, this is a unique phenomenon in Chenghua years, and there is an abnormal system. As a close servant of the emperor and the highest medical and administrative department in the country, the core responsibility of the official doctors in Taiyuan Hospital is to provide medical security for the imperial institutions with the emperor as the core, and also to provide medical services for the ministers, important institutions and the army.In addition, the official doctors of Taiyuan Hospital are also responsible for identifying and collecting medicinal materials, making medicines, dealing with major diseases, being ordered to sacrifice the ancestors and providing medical education.Among many duties, providing medical security for the emperor is the most important one, which reflects the imbalance of the duties of the official doctors, and this feature greatly affects the treatment, selection, examination and removal of the official doctors in Taiyuan Hospital.Due to the different status and responsibilities, the treatment of officials and doctors in Taiyuan Hospital is polarized: first, the treatment of grass-roots doctors is low, which is quite different from that of doctors;second, the treatment gap among doctors is huge because of the favor of the emperor.Medical officers favored by emperors often enjoy a lot of excessive treatment, while ordinary medical officers can only enjoy the rated salary.Similarly, the selection and examination of officials and doctors in Taiyuan Hospital are often influenced by Sacred Will. The emperor appreciated the transfer of medical officers from the top, regardless of the usual practice, while the general medical officers and doctors, doctors, according to the system,or examination,or full examination, inspection.Obviously, the examination of officials and doctors in Taiyuan Hospital in Ming Dynasty showed the characteristics of combining the special cases of purposeful transfer with the normal system of examination. The forms of departure of officials and doctors in Taiyuan Hospital are diversified. In addition to the routine channel of retirement from old diseases, general practitioners also have the forms of separation, such as cares for foster parents, escape from military service, redundant medical treatment and improper behavior. For medical officers, there are two main forms of official appointment: special gift and official appointment by Kaoman, and there are many ways such as negligence, redundant medical treatment and improper behavior. After leaving office, except for a few doctors favored by the emperor, most doctors, doctors and medical officers have almost no preferential treatment after leaving office.Taiyuan Hospital's special service object and special status attribute determine its close connection with politics. In the middle and late Ming Dynasty, the medical administration was destroyed, and the quality of medical officers was difficult to guarantee.Medical accidents often damaged the emperor and directly affected the change of throne. The promotion of medical officers violated the rules, which seriously destroyed the examination system. However, many medical officers were involved in political struggle repeatedly and played an important role in the political evolution in the middle and late Ming Dynasty, which seriously affected the political changes.
