ObjectiveOveractive bladder is a common and frequently occurring clinical syndrome,which is composed of frequency of urination,urgency of urine and urgency of urinary incontinence.The purpose of this study is to clarify the efficacy and safety of Spirit-regulating Acupuncture in the treatment of overactive bladder by observing and comparing the treatment of overactive bladder by Spirit-regulating Acupuncture with that by ordinary acupuncture,and to find an effective,safe,less side effects and easy promoting treatment f'or overactive bladder.MethodsThe patients who met the diagnostic criteria and were included in the criteria were randomly divided into treatment group(Spirit-regulating Acupuncture group)and control group(ordinary acupuncture group)according to the completely randomized grouping method.The treatment group was treated with the method of regulating the mind.The main points were Sishen needle,Shc nting,Yintang,Shenmen and Sanyinjiao.The control group was treated with the ordinary needling method.rl'he main points were Zhongji,Pangguang Shu,Shenshu and Sanyinjiao.After routine disinfection of the acupoints,puncture the acupoints.The needle is retained after transporting the needles until the Qi is reached,and the needle is retained for 30 minutes.Treatment once a day for 4 weeks.Patients were asked to record their urination diaries and fill in the OABSS scale before treatment,2 weeks after treatment began and 4 weeks after treatment began.The average number of day urination,night urination,urgency urinary incontinence and emergency urinary incontinence were recorded to evaluate the clinical efficacy,and adverse reactions were recorded at any time to evaluate safety indicators.Statistical analysis of SPSS 24.0 software was used to evaluate the clinical efficacy and safety of Spirit-regulating Acupuncture in the treatment of overactive bladder.Results1.This study included 48 patients who visited the department of acupuncture and moxibustion,urology clinic and ward of the First Affiliated Hospital of Guangzhou University of Traditional Chinese Medicine from March 2018 to December 2018.There were 24 patients in the treatment group and 24 patients in the control group.Both groups completed the treatment plan for one month.2.There was no significant difference in sex composition,age,course of disease,day urination,night urination,urgency urinary incontinence,OABSS score between the two groups before treatment(P>0.05).3.After treatment,the number of day urination,night urination,urgent urination,urgent urinary incontinence and OABSS scores of the two groups decreased compared with those before treatment(P<0.05).After 2 weeks of treatment began,the number of day urination,night urination,emergency urination and OABSS score in the treatment group decreased more significantly(P<0.05),while the urgency urinary incontinence frequency was similar in the two groups(P>0.05);after 4 weeks of treatment began,the number of times of urination,urgency of urination and OABSS score in the treatment group decreased more significantly(P<0.05),night urination frequency and urgency urination score were more obvious in the treatment group(P<0.05).The incontinence frequency was similar between the two groups(P>0.05).4.The total clinical efficacy of the treatment group,of which 3 cases were clinically cured,5 cases were markedly effective,15 cases were effective and 1 case was ineffective.The total effective rate was 95.83%.In the control group,1 cases were clinically cured,3 cases were markedly effective,13 cases were effective,7 cases were ineffective,and the total effective rate was 70.83%.The overall clinical efficacy of the two groups was significantly different by rank sum test(P<0.05).5.In terms of safety,there were no significant adverse reactions in the course of the trial in both groups.Conclusion1.Both Spirit-regulating Acupuncture and conunon needling can improve the clinical symptoms of overactive bladder,effectively reduce the number of urination during the day,night,urgency and urgency of urinary incontinence,significantly reduce the OABSS score,but the effect of Spirit-regulating Acupuncture is better.2.Spirit-regulating Acupuncture has obvious curative effect and high safety in the treatment of overactive bladder,which is worthy of application and promotion.
