International collaborations stimulate knowledge flows useful for advancement of nursing profession as well as research and development(R&D).Other factors external to science that facilitates collaboration and flow of knowledge include geog:raphical proximity and historical bases. Also, the rise of information and communications technologies(ICT),the influence the interconnectedness of those in the scientific community. However,it is expected that, with all of the above-mentioned factors nursing knowledge would flow evenly throughout point in space or time so that all countries become updated on health-related knowledge and,in return be successful(healthier). However, the problem still stands, knowledge flows unevenly throughout point in space or time, consequently, those with access to up-to-date knowledge, knowledge that is adequately used, become more successful than their counterparts. An empirical evidence on the nature of knowledge diffusion between and among developing and developed countries was highly sought in order to reveal the disparity of knowledge flow that occur between developing and developed countries. Results show that nursing knowledge is highly generated and mainly flows in developed countries. These discoveries encourage policy makers, international community to support research in areas that are disadvantaged with necessary resources so that flow of modern up-to-date nursing knowledge benefit all human endeavors.
