Objective: This study aims to identify symptoms, tongue, pulse and determine the N-acetyltransferase 2 genotype. To explore the specific relationship between Traditional Chinese Medicine syndromes of Alzheimer's disease and the N-acetyltransferase 2 gene.It also analyzes the ways in which it participates in the pathogenesis of Alzheimer's disease,so as to lay a theoretical foundation for finding new Alzheimer's disease treatment strategies.Method: The research uses the method of case-control study.According to inclusion criteria and exclusion criteria,a total of 202 patients with Alzheimer's disease(case group)and 30 healthy people(control group)were collected.By comparing the symptoms of Chinese medicine, the tongue and the pulse, the case group is divided into:Yin deficiency of liver and kidney, two deficiency of spleen and kidney, syndrome of deficiency of medullary sea,qi stagnation and blood stasis, phlegm and turbidity obstruction, heart irascibility flourishing.N-acetyltransferase 2 genotype was determined in232 patients to understand the relationship between Traditional Chinese Medicine syndrome type and N-acetyltransferase 2 gene.Results:(1)For Traditional Chinese Medicine syndrome type distribution:syndrome of deficiency of medullary sea > two deficiency of spleen and kidney>qi stagnation and blood stasis>Yin deficiency of liver and kidney > heart irascibility flourishing > phlegm and turbidity obstruction;(2)N-acetyltransferase 2 alleles M1,M2,M3 showed no significant difference in the frequency distribution of middle alleles between the case group and the control group. Conclusion:According to Traditional Chinese Medicine syndrome differentiation, combined with the results of N-acetyltransferase 2 gene determination, this experiment indicates that the N-acetyltransferase 2 gene may not be correlated with Alzheimer's disease.
