BackgroundThe study explored differences in outcomes of antiretroviral treatment between male MSM and heterosexual HIV-infected adiults in China and provided evidences for clinical antiretroviral treatmentMethodsA retrospective cohort study was conducted.According to the route of transmission,The data collected from the National antiretroviral therapy informations system from 1st January,2011 to 31st December.,2011 was divided into the MSM group and the heterosexual transmission group, and the observation time was up to 31st December,2015.Kaplan-Meier method and COX proportion hazard regression model was used to estimate the differences of survival time and retention between two groups, and identify the related factors.Logistic regression model was applied to estimate the diferencese of virological suppression and retention after 12 months of treatment and identify the related factors.SPSS 20.0 was used for data processing and statistical analysisResultA total number of 20 273 cases was selected:Multivariate COX regression showed the death risk of the heterosexual was higher than that MSM(aHR=2.85,95%CI:2.36-3.44);The retention rate of heterosexual was also lower than MSM(aHR=2.29.95%CI:2.03-2.37);After 12 months of ART,the heterosexual was less likely to achieve viral suppression than MSM(aOR=0.65.95%CI:0.58-0.74).ConclusionThe heterosexual was more likely to die and fail in virological suppression and lost during the ART treatment than MSM in China. In general, the ART effect of heterosexual is better than MSM in male HIV-infected adults in China. |
