Experimental Observation On The Treatment Of Ulcerative Colitis With Taohua Decoction And Kangfuxin Liquid By Intragastric Administration

Objective: To observe the therapeutic effect of Taohua Decoction and Kangfuxin Liquid on UC rats by Intragastric Administration.Methods: 32 healthy SD rats were randomly divided into four groups: the normal group,the model group,the control group and the experimental group,with 8 rats in each group.Distilled water was used in the normal group,5% dextran sodium sulfate(DSS)solution was used in the remaining three groups,and 4 groups of animals were given free drinking water/solution for 7 days to establish UC model.After successful modeling,the control group and the experimental group were given two weeks of drug intervention respectively.After successful drug intervention,all rats in the four groups were killed after cardiac blood collection,and colon tissue was taken.We need four evaluation indicators to compare the efficacy of Taohua Decoction combined with Kangfuxin Solution and Kangfuxin Solution alone on SD rats with ulcerative colitis.These four indicators are as follows: the colitis disease activity index(DAI)score,the colon macroscopic damage index(CMDI)score,the immunohistochemical method(SP method)which was used to detect and compare the distribution and expression of proteinAQP3 and AQP4 in colon mucosa of four groups of rats and the ELISA(Enzyme Linked Immunosorbent Assay)method which was used to detect and compare the levels of interleukin-6(IL-6)in plasma of four groups of rats.Results: After successful modeling,the protein expression of AQP3 and AQP4 in colon tissue of model group,control group and experimental group was significantly lower than that of normal group,and the difference was statistically significant(P < 0.01);the protein expression of AQP3 and AQP4 in model group,control group and experimental group had little difference in each other and there was no significant difference among each other by doing paired comparison of the three groups(P>0.05).After drug intervention,the expression of AQP3 and AQP4 in the control group and the experimental group were significantly higher than those in the model group,and the difference was statistically significant(P< 0.01);the expression of AQP3 and AQP4 in the experimental group were higher than those in the control group,and the difference was statistically significant(P< 0.01).After successful modeling,the level of IL-6 in plasma of model group,control group and experimental group was significantly higher than that of normal group,and the difference was statistically significant(P< 0.01);the difference of IL-6 content among model group,control group and experimental group had little difference in each other and there was no significant difference among each other by doing paired comparison of the three groups(P> 0.05).After drug intervention,the content of IL-6 in the control group and the experimental group was significantly lower than that in the model group,the difference was statistically significant(P< 0.01);The content of IL-6 in the experimental group was lower than that in the control group,and the difference was statistically significant(P< 0.01).Conclusion: Taohua Decoction combined with Kangfuxin liquid has a great effect on ulcerative colitis,and it's curative effect is better than the Kangfuxin liquid which is used alone.
