OBJECTIVE:Based on the theory of "treatment of disease"in traditional Chinese medicine, the patients with high risk of gout, that is,patients with hyperuricemia, were treated with various clinical interventions. The effectiveness of prevention and treatment of gout was evaluated through observation of changes in corresponding indicators over time.Feasibility and positive clinical significance was evaluated in the prevention of gout.METHODS:Sixty-four patients with a high risk of gout, the criteria for diagnosis of hyperuricemia, were selected from a group of companies in the Jiangsu Provincial Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine from June 2017 to October 2017.The patients were randomly divided into two groups according to the simple random number table. The observation group and the control group each had 32 cases each.Among them:the control group only completed the relevant questionnaire before and after observation, and the blood uric acid value, body weight, body mass index, blood pressure, asting blood glucose, cholesterol and triglyceride values before and after the observation, did not accept any intervention;observation group Based on the control group, dietary intervention, lifestyle, science education and other clinical interventions were observed. The blood uric acid value, body weight, body mass index, blood pressure, fasting blood glucose, cholesterol and triglyceride values, diet, persistence in exercise, periodic review of the percentage of people and changes in TCM constitutional recognition scores of the two groups were observed after 1 year.RESULTS:After 1 year, the observation group had statistically significant differences in number of gout attacks, blood uric acid, body weight, body mass index, fasting blood glucose, cholesterol and triglyceride values, reasonable diet, adherence to exercise, percentage of regular rev:iew, and TCM constitutional scores before and after intervention.(P<0.05);Compared with the control group, the values of number of gout attacks, blood uric acid, body weight, body mass index, fasting blood glucose, cholesterol and triglyceride, reasonable diet, adherence to exercise, percentage of regular review and TCM constitution identification score before and after intervention was also statistically significant(P<0.05).Conclusion:The clinical effect of clinical intervention on patients with high risk of gout, hyperuricemia,is significantly improved by using the theory of "treatment of disease" in Chinese medicine. It can effectively reduce blood uric acid value and related clinical indicators, which is helpful for patients with hyperuricemia.Good health behaviors and living habits, improve patients'attention to gout and their own health status, improve patients' TCM constitution and improve their quality of life.It is also helpful to reduce the risk of gout attack and the frequency and degree of gout attack.
