| Background and ObjectWith the development of social economy and the improvement of people’s living standards, the incidence of metabolic syndrome showed a trend of increasing.Meanwhile, the incidence of depression and other mental health problems also rise year by year, seriously affecting people’s quality of life and becoming a heavy social burden. The research about influence of depression and other psychological state on metabolic syndrome was still in the stage of development.None of the correlation between depression and metabolic syndrome has been reported about the special groups of chinese-korean teachers domestically.Based on the analysis of the correlation between depression status and metabolic syndrome of Korean teachers in yanbian area, this study explored the psychological risk factors of metabolic syndrome and provided the basis for the prevention and treatment of metabolic syndrome in Korean and even the whole country.MethodsSelected from the participates of the sub-project of the national key research project"2 h-UG combined with FPG,AGEsP alone or combined with FPG in the diagnosis and screening value for diabetes in jilin Korean people in 2018"of the Korean teachers in a region selected from the population survey data in line with the Zung’s depression self rating scale(SDS)norm>53 points(depression)Korean teacher groups(a total of 367,of which the male 91,female 276)as the observation group(depression group),and to select the same conditions of patients(Gender and age matched)without depression(a total of 388,of whom 95 men,293 women were included in the control group(no depression group).Of the 1,776 Korean teachers included in the sub-project of the national key project,759(569 female and 186 male)qualified for our study were included in this study. The subjects were included in the analysis, and their demographic characteristics, smoking, drinking, and family history of cardiovascular diseases were investigated.Biochemical tests and physical examinations were performed. Each index between the two groups was calculated, and the data were statistically analyzed by groups of men and women.Results1.Metabolic syndrome in male and female depression state group(χ~2=16.162,P<0.001;χ~2=57.896,P<0.001)were all higher than those in the non-depressed state group. In addition,Waist circumference(t=-2.255,P=0.025)were higher than those in the non-depressed state group in male.Waist circumference(t=-3.956,P=0.025),Diastolic blood pressure(t=-4.585,P<0.001),triglycerides(z=-3.950,P<0.001)and family history(χ~2=4.570,P=0.033)were lower, but HDL-C(t=3.065,P=0.002)were higher in the female depression state group than in the non-depression state group.2.According to Spearman correlation analysis, depression state was positively correlated with metabolic syndrome(r=0.311,P<0.01)and waist circumference(r=0.243,P<0.01)in male.Depression was positively correlated with metabolic syndrome(r=0.332,P<0.01),waist circumference(r=0.239,P<0.01),triglyceride(r=0.210,P<0.01),diastolic blood pressure(r=0.258,P<0.01),and systolic blood pressure(r=0.103,P<0.05)in famale.3.According to multivariate Logistic regression analysis in male, depression, waist circumference and systolic blood pressure are the influenced factors metabolic syndrome after controlling for age, disease history, smoking, drinking and other factors.Among them, the risk of metabolic syndrome increased gradually from mild depression(OR=5.942,95%ci=1.224-28.853)to moderate depression(OR=9.707,95%ci=2.050-45.969)compared with those without depression.High waist circumference(OR=1.562,95%ci=1.276-1.912)and high systolic blood pressure(OR=1.069,95%ci=1.020-1.120)are risk factors for metabolic syndrome.Meanwhile, with the increasing of control factors, the risk of metabolic syndrome are increased.4.According to multivariate Logistic regression analysis in famale, depression, waist circumference, systolic blood pressure, diastolic blood pressure, triglycerides and high-density lipoprotein are the main influenced factors of metabolic syndrome after controlling for age, disease history, smoking, drinking and other factors.Among them, the risk of metabolic syndrome increased gradually from mild depression(OR=7.195,95%ci=3.000-17.258)to moderate depression(OR=8.991,95%ci=3.724-21.709),And the risk of metabolic syndrome was lower in severe depression(OR=6.599,95%CI=1.390-31.338)than moderate depression.High waist circumference(OR=1.365,95%ci=1.247-1.495),high systolic blood pressure(OR=1.052,95%ci=1.026-1.078),high diastolic blood pressure(OR=1.092,95%ci=1.040-1.145),and high triglycerides(OR=2.150,95%ci=1.478-3.128)are risk factors for the development of metabolic syndrome. In addition, high HDL(OR=0.493,95%CI=0.250-0.973)is a protective factor for metabolic syndrome.Conclusion1.Depression status is positively correlated with waist circumference in males, and positively correlated with waist circumference, triglyceride, diastolic blood pressure and systolic blood pressure in females in population Surveyed.2.Depressive status is a risk factor for MS.Compared with non-depressed people, people with mild depression and moderate depression have a gradually increased risk of MS.Women with severe depression had a lower risk of MS than those with moderate depression. |
