Eating disorders are a series of chronic mental illnesses of physical and behavioral disorders caused by wrong cognition of body shape and diet,which is prevalent in adolescent women,especially those who have higher body shape requirements.Many women who do not know enough about weight loss suffer dual influence of physical and mental.The high-risk groups with eating disorders that do not meet the diagnostic criteria are large,Therefore,it is particularly urgent to intervene in people with high risk of eating disorders to prevent them from developing into a real eating disorder.In recent years,the intervention of yoga on eating disorders has been initiated in the clinic.Limited research has shown that yoga can improve,at least not to aggravate the risk of eating disorders and behavioral symptoms of patients with eating disorders.But in different studies,the interventions effects of yoga on body dissatisfaction,binge eating and other aspects have been inconsistent.However,there is a lack of research on the impact of yoga on people at high risk of eating disorders.Objective: To observe the effects of 8 weeks Hatha Yoga intervention on the risk of eating disorders,body composition and cardiopulmonary fitness of high-risk female college students with eating disorders.Methods: Forty high-risk female college students with eating disorders were screened by Eating Disorder Inventory-3(EDI-3).They were divided into yoga group and control group,with 20 people in each group.During the intervention period,the yoga group subjects did not participate in other forms of exercise except for 8 weeks,3 times a week,60 minutes of Hatha Yoga intervention,the control group subjects maintained the original physical activity;all the subjects keep their daily diet.The risk of eating disorders was measured with EDI-3 before,after,and one monthfollow-up of the experiment.Before and after the experiment,weight,BMI,lean body mass,body fat mass,body fat percentage(Fat%)and visceral fat area were measured by the bio-resistance antibody composition analyzer,the resting heart rate,the maximum heart rate,the absolute and relative maximum oxygen uptake was measured with the Bruce treadmill protocol.Results:(1)There was no significant difference between the two groups before the experiment;(2)Compared with the control group,the yoga group had a significant reduction in the binge eating(B)and eating disorder risk group(EDRC)(p< 0.01).(DT)No significant difference,although BD continued to decrease,but no significant difference;(3)Compared with the control group,the body weight and Fat% of the yoga group decreased significantly,but There was no significant change in the body weight,BMI,lean body mass,visceral fat area;(4)Compared with the control group,the relative maximal oxygen uptake of the yoga group was significantly increased(p < 0.05),and there was no significant change in resting heart rate,maximum heart rate,and absolute maximum oxygen uptake.Conclusion:(1)Hatha Yoga can reduce the eating disorders behaviors and risks of high risk female college students with eating disorders,especially sustainable improve the overeating behavior;(2)Hatha Yoga can improve the body composition of high-risk female college students with eating disorders;(3)Hatha Yoga can significantly improve the maximum oxygen uptake of high-risk female college students with eating disorders.
