Objective:To design questionnaires and analyze the related influencing factors of children's dental fear(CDF),providing some help for the prevention and treatment of CDF.To evaluate the effect of behavioral management technique of dental general anesthesia(DGA)on CDF by analyzing the degree of fear and cooperation before and after oral treatment of children under DGA.Methods:Two hundred children aged 1-12 years old who went to The First Affiliated Hospital of Zhengzhou University during March 2017 to March 2018 were randomly divided into two groups:a CDF group(136)and a non-CDF group(164),based on the Frankl assessment scale of each child's disposition toward dental fear.To analyze the related influencing factors of CDF by designing quantitative questionnaire.94 of 136 children with CDF who met the general anesthesia indications and had parents' intention to do general anesthesia were selected, randomly divided into the Treatment Group and Control Group after obtaining the informed consent of their parents, with 47 cases in each group. There was no significant difference in general data such as age composition and gender ratio between the two groups(P<0.05).The Treatment Group received oral treatment under DGA,while the Control Group only under Tell-Show-Do,that is,the doctor informed the demonstration of the operation to be performed by using a simple language metaphor.Record the contents of treatment(dental caries filling, pulpotomy, indirect pulp capping, root canal therapy, extraction, preformed metal crown and pit and fissure sealing)and the cooperation of children at return visit.Record the scores of CFSS-DS and Venham scores before and after treatment in the Treatment Group and Control Group, evaluating the impact of DGA on the behavior of children with dental fear after treatment.Results:1.There was no significant difference between the two groups in gender, family formation, family financial background,CDF history of parents(P>0.05).Significant differences were found between the groups in age, children's temperament type, the only child, parental management type, parental educational level, previous dental treatment history and experience(P>0.05).Multivariate Logistic regression analysis results demonstrated that age, children's temperament type, parental management type, previous dental treatment history and experience were the related influencing factors of CDF,while the infancy age is the most important influencing factors.2.Treatment: the number of teeth treated in the Treatment Group was significantly higher than that in the Control Group, and the average treatment time for each tooth was shorter than that in the Control Group.3.There were statistically significant differences in treatment efficiency, treatment quality and post-treatment cooperation rate between the Treatment Group and the Control Group(P<0.05).4.The scores of the Venham and the CFSS-DS before and after treatment of the Treatment Group and the Control Group were statistically significant(P<0.05).Conclusion:1.The occurrence of children's dental fear is mainly related to age, children's temperament type, parental management type, previous dental treatment history and experience, while the infancy age is the most important one.2.DGA has no obvious adverse reactions in the application of pediatric stomatology, and has high application safety, which can reduce the fear level of children, improve the cooperation of children, and thereby improve the treatment quality and efficiency.
